The true story is I bought this on a whim because I have old British Cars, my wife loves old British Bikes and wanted a motorcycle. It turns out this is a bit too powerful and not an ideal bike for someone learning to ride, so I need to get her something more entry-level and with electric start. My loss is someone's gain. The few times I've ridden it, it's fired on the first kick every time though it does need to warm up a bit. Just like cars of the same vintage, I gather that's typical. Brand new Michelin's, excellent paint and very good chrome. Previous owner said he put several thousand $ into the bike in the 2 years he had it, but I don't have the receipts to prove it.
