My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking quesitons or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1999 GMC Suburban K2500 with the desirable 454ci big block V8. This is one of those vehicles that few people need...but if you need one, you need one and nothing else will do the truck. I would rate the exterior of this Suburban to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck, It is finished in tan with matching tan cloth interior. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific Suburban, there is some normal rust behind the rear wheels, but nothing excessive for the age and mileage. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. The body lines are all nice and straight. The hood and doors all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory rallye wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. This Suburban also comes with a full class 3 hitch and an electronic brake controller. I would rate the interior of this Suburban to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets show well throughout the interior. The seats are clean and comfortable. The power windows and locks work properly. The power mirrors do not work. The stereo is original and sounds good. The heater works well, too. When I drove this Suburban, the outside temp was in the upper 30's so I couldn't test the air conditioner. However, there is a reciept for a new A/C compressor in the glove box and you can see that the compressor looks fairly new, so I'd imagine the air conditioner works. Access to the 3rd row is easy and there is plenty of room for adults to sit in every row. Being a Suburban, there is ample room for storage behind the 3rd row. However, the back seat can easily be removed to open up a remarkable amount of storage capacity. Mechanically, this Suburban appears to be in good running and driving condition. The optional 454ci big block V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good. The HD suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and good oil pressure at all times. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The huge V8 makes plenty of power...period. The stock intake has been upgraded with a K&N cold air intake, for more power. As you can see in the photos, the factory air intake is included. What's unusual about this truck is the transmission. As you can see, there is a floor shifter rather than the standard column shifter. Replacing a transmission is one thing...and the transmissions are usually the weak link with these. The only reason I could think of the cut a hole in the floor and convert to a direct floor shifter would be if you upgraded to a HD spec transmission while you were replacing it. I don't know what transmission is under there...but an upgraded unit is the only reason you'd switch to a floor shifter. It is still a four speed automatic and works just like a normal transmission. It engages smoothly and shifts perfectly with zero issues. Judging from the upgraded air intake and HD hitch, an upgraded transmission is my best guess. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight...pretty good for an old girl. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. If you want a truck that can haul pretty much anything you need, a Suburban 2500 should be on your list. If you think you might have to haul that stuff up a hill, I'd recommend a 454. Non-Paying Bidders: We take what we do very seriously and ask that potential bidders take placing their bid just as seriously. Non-Paying Bidders will be assessed a re-listing fee of $249. This fee is considered due and payable, without demand, to Liberty Auto Exchange on the 8th day from the end of the auction.
