Vehicle Detail
2017-10-23 142 1976 Pontiac Trans AM 400 NO RESERVE! This is truly a very nice Pontiac. It's not a 2017 automobile, it's a 40-year old Trans AM, most of which have been beaten over that span of time. This one has survived, as have many, but a little research will show you some rough ones out there for 1/2 the price. That said, there are no inaccurate and/or photoshopped photos on this auction! All photos were taken in the last week and are actual photos (taken with an iPod of all things) with some taken in my garage where the car is always parked (usually next to #53 Herbie, my other favorite movie car). The other half were taken down the road by the bay today 10/23/17 on a cloudy day. I could take lots of eye candy pics at the beach, in front of fancy houses and/or landmarks and still not have the one you may want to see. However, if you want a specific photo, please just ask and I'll do my best to accommodate you. If you think the car looks good in photos, you should see it in person out on the road - it's pretty awesome. Click link for a video of the car: https://youtu.be/gCGzqWEYlOQ It's just a fun car! - Extremely nice driver quality, a bit better according to people that have seen the car. - 1976 w/1977 front end - just like the first original Smokey and the Bandit car before the 77' models were ready. - Enjoy as the boulevard cruising classic that it is or drop in an LS-1 or LS-2 and RESTOMOD it! - Runs, drives and rides very nice! The Rochester 4bbl takes a few minutes to warm up, but after that it just goes! - Engine and transmission have no funny noises at all. - Hurst t-tops (a few scratches on top glass). - No rust, no rot, no surface rust, no rust bubbles, no rust holes. - Underbody, frame rails, trunk, floors, rear valence, all solid. - Doors open and close like new. - Clean interior, no radio, uncut dash, does have 6"x9" rear speakers. - Previous owner stated the 400ci in the car was not original, but a low mileage engine out of another 1976 T/A. I can't verify that, but nicely done if it is, and it really runs out strong. - Car is not perfect, not many are, but very nice, very straight, a blast to drive, and a real head turner. - A/C unmolested, but needs new compressor, drier, belt, re-charge. Additional information: * I'll be happy to discuss the car or I'll be here all day rambling. Call (772) 242-4977 and leave a message. I'll return your call when time permits. * PLEASE ask whatever questions you have prior to bidding so you can ensure this is the car for you (or the right gift for that special someone). I'll do my best to answer them. My 100% perfect is no fluke, but this is a 40-year old car, so again, ask questions so there are NO surprieses! * Sold as is with no warranty implied or offered. * It is located in Sarasota Florida. It has a clear title in my name. * It may be advertised locally, so auction could end early if I get a good offer. If you're in the Sarasota area, please come by and look at teh car in person. On Oct-25-17 at 13:47:13 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm sorry! I neglected to put a photo of the motor in the auction, here it is. Any other photo requests please just ask.
