Vehicle Detail
1969 Camaro Pre-X code 1969 Camaro - Originally White with Black Standard Interior. This is an interesting Car… I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a Super Sport… (Did not have disc brakes, dual exhaust, or Multi Leaf Springs,) but WAS a factory 350 4 Speed Car with a 10 Bolt Posi, which it still retains. This Car is essentially 80% complete and loaded with parts, parts, and extra parts. I bought the car in a package deal to get other vehicles and am listing it as I received it. It came from a very reputable restoration shop where they began disassembly for restoration. The customer found a more desirable car that they started focusing on and stopped work on this 69… so it Sat indoors for years until I purchased it. I was told, and believe that the car drove into their shop before disassembly. The engine is a 4 bolt main 350 with double hump heads, an edelbrock intake, 600cfm holley and despite the headers being cut for easy removal, is basically complete and Rotates freely. There is a 3 Speed automatic currently attached to the motor, but it has the 4 speed pedals and correct column and It includes a newly rebuilt T-10 4 speed. That’s in the trunk. I have the radiator, hood springs, Door panels… all the small misc stuff to make it whole again.. but honestly, most of the small stuff is better replaced, and one would do that anyway. Wiring harnesses are all there, and in decent shape. As I Said, it was a running Driving car. The photos of this car are a little deceiving… so I’ll try to make up for them with a detailed description, which err’s on the NEGATIVE side. I try to describe the very worst, in the worst way possible to avoid any unpleasantness. If you have ANY questions, I am happy to answer them for you, but please do so before you bid, or before auction close. Overall The body of the car is very solid: Left Quarter : Has Rust in wheel lip. Does not require entire quarter panel… just the wheel lip. Comes with new complete replacement panel... but you won't need it all. Right Quarter: maybe a couple spots of surface rust.. .nothing major. Nothing soft. Both Doors: Good. Some surface rust in spots. Nothing Soft Spots. Drivers Door sags a little, needs Hinge Bushings. Actually comes with an extra Passenger door complete with Glass. Rockers: Very Solid, does have some surface rust here and there. No holes that I can see, nothing soft. LF Fender: Both The inner and outer fender are missing. RF Fender: Solid, not rusty- has filler, and has been repaired Previously. Inner fender is good. Core Support: Rusty- Could be saved, easier to replace. Missing Both Upper and lower front Valances. Hood- Flat GM Hood- Great shape- no rust. Firewall: Has some damage by Vin Tag, but isn’t rusted out. I would say it from some type of impact, either from an accident at some point, or from something hitting it while disassembled. Roof: Solid, no rust. Vinyl top is actually decent.. but is starting to shrink from trim. Pillars: All solid. Maybe some spots of surface rust… nothing soft. Floors- Floors are overall very solid.. there are some small holes here and there… and a few soft spots. I would spend some time patching them, personally… as I don’t feel it needs entire floor pans anywhere. The shift tunnel has been cut at some point, however, and will need patched. Trunk- Pan Needs replaced. Worst part of car. Shock towers are good, but the lower trunk floor is easier replaced than repaired. Inner and outer rear fenderwells have issues at the quarter where stated, but don’t need replaced. Gm Trunk Lid, and GM spoiler are in great shape. Seals are bad. Rear Valences are Good, and solid. All Glass is in the car, intact.. has some light “ice scraper” scratches from age. - The windshield is cracked. Rear Frame: Solid, everywhere. surface rust. Wheels: I have the other two mags, tires don't hold air. . Front Frame: Currently the car is sitting on a disc brake subframe from a 1970 Camaro. While it has disc brakes and is in good condition, this was only done to get the car moving. I have a rolling Correct Drum/Power steering Subframe from a 69 Camaro that is included in this sale. It’s my intention to get the correct frame under the car in the next few weeks… but for now, it’s included as a “spare”. Interior: Black Standard interior Is essentially all there, but will need redone. Passenger seat is disassembled… but present. The steering column is removed, but included. Amongst the parts are the windshield cranks, knobs and smaller items that make the interior complete are in boxes… … I’m not 100% certain they are all usable… but… they’re there… as are the hood latches and things like that. That’s the scoop on the car… if I left anything out please feel free to message me. I do my best to be accurate and fair. I always recommend viewing any vehicle in person prior to purchase…. And a viewing can be scheduled at anytime. A non-refundable 500.00 Deposit it due at auction close, and balance of cash preferred at pickup.. or of course, PayPal for entire balance is acceptable. I’ll happily coordinate shipping with you as well. Good Luck and Happy Bidding! On Oct-20-17 at 07:40:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Revision: Had a chance to pull some items out and take a better look at the floor pans- There is a hole i missed in the drivers front pan that is a little larger than a dollar bill, and the passenger rear pan has a patch in it that i couldn't see until i got things out. Still solid overall... and i stand by my estimation that you could get away without putting pans in it.
