You are bidding on a 1961 Ford Econoline pickup. This truck was found at a military base in 1994 with 33,000 original miles and cosmetically "hot rodded" and "restored'. The paint, interior etc... is from 1994 and looks great. In 2015 the original 144 cid inline six cylinder was replaced with a 170 from a 1964 Mustang. It was professionally rebuilt by a local machine shop NOT a huge re-builder mixing boxes of motor parts together to make a complete engine. The motor was rebuilt to factory specs, extra attention given to making it a solid power plant with balancing the rotating assembly, valve seals, etc.... Motor runs smooth and powerful and does not leak or burn oil. The little Econoline constantly performs well on long trips getting great gas mileage. In 2015 the clutch was replaced and the transmission was completely rebuilt. This was done at same time the motor was out for replacing. The radiator was reconditioned and an electric fan added. Also in 2015 the original exhaust was "hot rodded" with a Flowmaster muffler splitting off into twin lines to the rear bumper. The truck is very original and very complete. Things like the belly pan - its all there. Steers great, brakes great, rides great. Interior is spartan, two bucket seats, a cd player and two speakers. Little details that count are there! The horn works, the wipers, the heater, the dome lights all work as they should. Door locks work with original Ford key - even the ignition switch is original. The photos you see are 3 weeks old, two weeks ago all four tires was replaced with brand new BF Goodrich Radial TA's and the raised white letter is showing nice and bright.
