1961 Chevrolet Apache 10 / C10 "NO RESERVE" I'm selling my favorite vehicle that I bought intending to never sale, but life tends to get in the way, back injury got much worse and I'm unable to continue working on it, so I'm now prepared to let it go. I only ask the buyer be able to pay and ship the vehicle within one week of winning the auction. It has a 62-66 hoodIt has the big back WindowIt is a factory shortbed VIN 1C144-O = Oakland, CA plant, bought from Woodland Hills, CAHas minimal rust on outer door bottoms roof and surface rust on hood. Painted Red Oxide primer, I was going to finish the body work and paint. Thats all thats really left to do. Rebuilt SBC 400ci-Holley 650cfm double pumper / comes with 600cfm vac sec-Edelbrock alum intake-Edelbrock dress up-kit (valve covers, air filter etc.)-HEI recurved distributor and MSD Wires 700r4 Automatic overdrive transmission-comes with new tv cable and Holley mount bracket GM 12 Bolt rear end-The frame has a small bridge for clearance when aired down, bed is only lifted 2 inches. The previous owner installed the wheel tubs which makes room for wider tires, if you prefer. My plan was to build a compartment for tools and equipment over the tubs. Front cross member from 1975 C10, as well as the engine and rear end.-Front power disc brakes-Power steering-New ball joints Air ride suspension front and rear.- 8 valves giving front- back side-side (fbss)- 2 viair 380c compressors- 2 air tanks 3 gal, 1/2 inch lines- could be returned to coil spring suspension while retaining rear air bags for heavy loads. 15 gal alum fuel tank under the alum diamond plate bed which needs some finish work to be done (hinge and trimming)-Factory fuel gauge works, I installed fuel sending unit with proper ohm range.. Optima yellow top battery Custom pinstriped 63 instrument panel w/mech gauges, new turn signal switch Interior is painted white, re-upholstered bench seat, cab corners have been patched rockers seem to be original but not bad at all, sound deadening mat, new black carpet. Missing glove box, however if you install the provided Old Air aftermarket a/c heater unit it may be necessary to buy a new smaller one from them, as well as a new compressor and dryer. Also available is the factory heater but the core has a leak, easy to replace or repair Both doors open and close, locks work, windows do up and down, could use new seals and felt pads, have new armrests on both doors. Lights, turn signal, brake all work The high beam lights aren't working but if I can get to it, I'll try to fix it. Also available are 4 stock wheels painted black with one tire I bought to check the fit, its 215/70/15, which fits, but rubs the firewall when aired all the way down and turned left or right, which was fine for me as it works as an emergency brake, which is unfortunately missing from under the steering column, but the intermediate cable is there. The lever and secondary cables can be purchased from Aspen Auto. You will also get a portable air tank, a hydraulic floor jack with 2 jack stands, a 16 in electric fan and relay kit, a set of door checks from a Jeep Cherokee, used to replace the missing ones. I bought front and rear ones, door weatherstrip from a 2006 Honda Civic that can be removed and reinstalled without glue. And a lot of other miscellaneous items When I bought the truck, I had it inspected. From the inspection I learned the title was SALVAGE status. The previous owner had to have the vehicle inspected by CHP before being registered. California law mandates any major component - engine, transmission, suspension must be what was provided by the factory or it will be assigned a lesser status. The inspection showed no other major faults or issues. Texas DMV says it can be considered a clear title but the CA salvage status must be disclosed to the buyer and is stated on remarks section of the title. This truck is being sold as is where is in a "NO RESERVE" auction. Please look over the description and photos and come to see it or hire someone to inspect it before you bid. The vehicle is not registered, so it must be shipped. Short test drives might be possible as the truck is insured until Oct 9. All shipping must be paid by the buyer, but I will help with everything up to getting it secured on the trailer.
