Vehicle Detail
This a no reserve auction for a 2013 Mini Cooper Bayswater edition. We bought it brand new just before our daughter started college. She decided not to take it to campus because she didn't want it to get trashed so she only drove it when she was home for break. It has 10,500 miles and is just like brand new. It has been garage kept the whole time. The car has the standard 1.6L 121HP engine with 6 speed automatic transmission with sport shifting. It is Kite Blue Metallic with Rocklike Anthracite Punch Leather interior. It has the cold weather package; heated front seats, mirrors and washer jets and power folding mirrors. It has run flat tires, dual pane panoramic sunroof (which is almost the whole top of the car), bluetooth and ipod adapter, and center armrest. It has all the standard stuff like 4 wheel ABS disc brakes, 6 front and side airbags, AM/FM/HD/CD stereo, 6 way seats with tilt telescopic steering wheel and more. See the window sticker photo for all the details. It has keyless remote entry with two fobs. The car is very comfortable, even for tall people, and very fun to drive. Here is some info about Bayswater taken from an article in Autoweek: The Mini includes the Pepper Pack, which adds air conditioning, an onboard computer, a leather steering wheel, the chrome package, fog lights and a height-adjustable driver's seat. Power comes from Mini's standard 1.6-liter engine, which delivers 121 hp and 114 lb-ft of torque. The Mini Bayswater comes in kite blue metallic and has 17-inch light-alloy Sandblast wheels with high-gloss black surfaces and machined edges. Eclipse grey and midnight black are also available on the exterior. Like the Baker Street, the Bayswater has racing stripes on the hood and unique mirror housings that differentiate the car from other Minis. The interior gets leather seats, blue contrast stitching and piano black trim inserts. The Chrome Line Interior package is included, along with stainless-steel pedals. The Pepper Pack is also incorporated.Read more: http://autoweek.com/article/car-news/mini-introduces-two-special-editions#ixzz4sqrvwN8d The photos shown were all taken in our driveway a few weeks ago except for the first one which I lifted from the internet. We have also included a photo of the window sticker. Please send any questions and I'll do my best to answer them promptly. The car is at our house but can be seen or tested by appointment. The winning bidder is responsible for getting the car but we will cooperate with getting it to a shipping point or meeting the buyer part way if it's not too far. Regarding the price; I have done some research and found a wide range of values. People always ask how much I'm looking to get. I honestly don't know what it's worth. I checked Edmunds.com, craigslist, eBay completed auctions and the prices are all over the map. Carvana.com offered me $8500 which I think is a joke. I think we paid around $25,000 for the car. I would love to get $14,000 but I will accept whatever the winning bid is. I feel very comfortable that it will be more than $8500 and most likely over $10,000. If someone wants to pay $13,500, I would probably be willing to end the auction and accept that. Good luck and happy bidding. On Sep-24-17 at 06:33:58 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm adding the information below in response to questions received. The car was hit on the left front fender when someone in the next lane got over without looking. Every part that was damaged was replaced - nothing was "repaired." There was no frame damage. The work was done by Autometric Collision, a Michigan chain at the time who was known for doing all the work for high-end dealerships like BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, etc. There is no residual evidence of the accident. We have never calculated the gas mileage but the vehicle's trip computer shows the average mileage as 29.8.The tires have a ton of tread. They look like brand new. Photo added to listing. No maintenance has ever been done on the car other than one oil change around April 2016 at an oil change shop. There are no leaks. I walked around the car this morning and found one small ding in the driver's side rear panel. Photo added. It's hard to notice. It's smaller than a pea, the paint scuff looks like it will rub out and the dent is so slight you have to be an exact angle to see it. It definitely can be pushed out with paintless dent removal. On the hood there is a small bubble in the decal. I tried to push it out and couldn't get it to move. There might be something under there. It's also smaller than a pea. Photo added.
