Vehicle Detail

Fell in love with the Eleanor from Gone in 60 seconds. Paid 45K for an Eleanor close off ebay in 2005 that ended up being a complete junker once you began looking deeper than a couple layers of clear coat. Decided not to give up on my dream and began a total custom restomod project on the car. I was subsequently ripped off by two different shops for thousands of dollars before I found a good shop that performed most of the work you see in the photos. 2008 financial crisis forced the good shop to close by 2009 right as I was deploying. Car went into storage for several years at another small shop. Shop ownership changed hands and the new owner ran a chop shop that landed him in prison. Unfortunately for me he managed to sell off 15K in parts from my car. This all happened while I was working abroad and was unable to personally act to prevent the disaster. Decided it's time for someone new to continue the Eleanator project because I'm moving to Germany for 3-5 years and have a new family to take care of. At this point I have no idea when I will ever get the time and money to finish the project. I've invested approximately 80K in the car and have the documentation and receipts to prove it. The absolutely top of the line Art Morrison Max G frame with coil over suspension and Wilwood brakes would cost you 15K alone! Just google Art Morrison Max G chassis to see the 67-68 mustang project that sold for several thousand dollars. 2004 SVT Cobra motor and 6 spd run around 10K. Flaming river steering column and rack Coye 20/19 Inch rims All new sheet metal to include the Shelby tail panel versus the old style where you cut into the factory tail panel. Only the highest quality components and work have went into this car. Absolute basket case 67-68 fastbacks are selling for 5k+ so keep this in mind when bidding. My loss will be your gain and I hope she finds a good home with someone that will finish the project. I want to emphasize that this is a rolling chassis to ensure the buyer doesn't receive a surprise like I did when I first bought the car. The final picture is how the car looked in the pictures when I bought it from a ebay seller with great feedback. Lesson is you can never be too careful and you should always conduct a detailed pre purchased inspection from a knowledgeable company when buying fully restored vehicles. Because most of the restoration work done is of very poor quality. No electrical or brake lines have been run. No decision was made on fuel or cooling system. No decision was made on the axles or center section. Vehicle has been sitting for over ten years now and has surface oxidation on all bare metal panels. Nothing that can't be removed with a little bit of polish. NO rust other than the surface oxidation. Please serious buyers only. I'm very busy and don't have time for tire kickers. Thanks! Chris On Aug-24-17 at 08:38:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional Information based on recent questions. - Yes the SVT Terminator motor and tremec 6 speed come with the car. - What you see in the photos are all the parts I have for the car. The rest of the stuff was stolen. - The final picture is what the car looked like when I bought it before discovering the very poor quality restoration. The first picture is what the car looks like now. It is a rolling chassis with motor and transmission. No driveshaft. No center section in the rear axle housing. No rear axle. No radiator. No wiring harness but painless wiring makes one that is plug and play with the 4.6L Terminator motor. - Car is located in Helena, Montana in my parents garage. I live in Alexandria, VA. - If you want more information and pictures then send me your email address and I'll send you the information. - This is a custom project that will require significant skill and money to finish. When finished these type of cars sell for over 250K if done correctly. - Only the best quality work has been done on the car but again it is a half finished project that has been sitting since 2009 so please know what you are getting into.
