It's a 2005 Ford F-150 XLT 5.4 4x4 with 108,000 miles. The truck needs some work but it's extremely common for this year model. The check engine light is on and running code P0012 and my mechanic quoted me at best case scenario to fix the truck is $1,500 and worse case scenario $3,000. The $3,000 would be total to replace the timing chain, cam phasers, cleaning the engine, and labor because they need to drop the oil pan and take off the front end of the engine to get to the parts. I've already replaced all of the spark plugs and VCT solenoids which tend to go out on 5.4's around 100k miles and the only other two things would be the cam phasers and timing chain. I am asking $7k obo because if you put the work into the truck that it needs you're still getting a good, clean tuck with low miles and 4wd for what it's worth.
