My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2003 Mercedes-Benz E500 Sedan with just 108k miles. I would rate the exterior of this Merc to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. She is finished in a Metallic Tan over matching Tan leather interior, which looks great. The tan finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of tihs E500. In fact, the only thing I can find to point out is a small spot in front of the left headlight where some paint is missing. That is the only thing that kept this E500 from getting the "ABOVE AVERAGE" rating. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. The body lines are nice and striaght. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a proper matching set of Michelin's with good tread all around. This E500 comes in as a fresh NEW CAR TRADE. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this E500 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, the tan interior compliments the tan exterior and shows very well. The door cards show some age but are acceptable. In like fashion, the carpets show a few marks from age but are acceptable and are not excessively worn. The dash and headliner are clean. The leather seats are soft, supple and comfortable throughout the cabin and show virtually no wear. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, seats and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The only thing bad I can really say about the interior is that the cup holder is stuck, which is common. The wood veneers show well and compliment the tan interior nicely. The trunk is spacious and clean, too. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this E500 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.0L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The Air-Matic appears to be working properly and does not sag...no warning lights. Steering and braking feel good, too. The brake pad wear warning comes on, so the pads are probably getting thin...but the car stops perfectly with zero concerns. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. To say that these cars make plenty of power is an understatement. She hits the road nice and straight. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts normally with no issues. You do get an occasional shudder under part throttle...but it is nothing I'd be immediately concerned about. It's probably due for a fluid service, assuming it has not been done yet. Out on the highway, this E500 is right at home and cruises easily. If you want a graciously appointed sedan with a big hammer under the hood, an E500 will definitely do the trick.
