Vehicle Detail
Beautiful 1969 Ford F-250 Ranger with camper special package. 390 2V, power steering, power disc brakes, C-6 automatic. Affectionately named "pumpkin", this truck is all original with 34,XXX miles. From the paint, to the amazing interior, just a stunning truck. I purchased pumpkin from the second owner, first owner was an older woman who used the truck sparingly on a fruit orchard in Campbell CA. It had been stored in a barn for 10+ years prior to him getting it. Body and paint are in very nice shape, patina is perfect. Various small dings, scratches, thinning paint etc... only add to the character and charm of this lovely bumpside. No major damage anywhere, very straight truck. Floors, doors, rockers, underside are all extremely clean, dry and rust free. Only rust on the truck is the notorious drip rail location, passenger side. Tailgate operates perfectly and the bed floor and interior is exceptional. Interior is drop dead good looking. Original bench seat is near perfect, original carpet, door panels, arm rests, everything. Dash is a work of art with the handsome ranger wood trim, chrome accents in combination with the burnt orange color. All interior functions work perfect, wipers, lights, gauges etc. Mechanically pumpkin is extremely solid. The 390 fires right up and runs fantastic, no smoke or odd noises of any kind. Engine makes a ton of power, is responsive and very very healthy as one would imagine an FE with 34k miles should be. C-6 is absolutely perfect, silky smooth and quick shifts. Brakes are solid. Steering is light and nimble yet provides decent feedback for an old rig, no play or wandering on this one. Suspension is tight and solid, great riding truck. Pumpkin goes down the road straight and smooth, and with power steering, disc brakes and the strong 390, is an absolute pleasure to drive. Since aquiring pumpkin, I have gone through her to make sure she was a very reliable and confident driver. List of new parts and services done within the last 100 miles; New oil and filter, full tune up with pertronix ignition, new master cylinder, new radius arm bushings and front end alignment, new power steering pump, new front U joint, new belts, air filter, passenger exhaust gasket, wheels painted and tires balanced, new door lock knobs and grommets, new dome light lens, new cab bed light, new exhaust from muffler back, new door jamb switches, front end and prop shafts greased, carb and timing dialed into perfection. This is a no nonsense rig, and the new owner should be very pleased to own such a fine example. Trucks like pumpkin are getting few and far between, so dont miss your chance to own one of these great old fords. Practicality, handsome looks and a great driving experience make owning one a very rewarding investment. Please feel free to ask any questions or to request additional pictures, glad to provide. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
