Vehicle Detail
67 Sprite ready to drive and enjoy! Engine has been completely rebuilt and restored. It has new brakes, tires, fuel system, aluminum radiator, electrical gone through, all lights, gauges and wipers work. The horn will work but not connected to steering wheel yet. The body is not restored and has some small issues but is fine for a driver quality vehicle. See pics for condition. Thousands put into this car to get it to this point. The reserve is far less than invested, but I don't have the space to keep it now. It's a surprisingly fun car to drive, quick and nimble. Unfortunately I've only put about 300 miles since it's been finished and now it's 110 degrees here in Phoenix. Everything has been done to the engine to make it like new. Bore, deck, complete head rebuild, reground crankshaft, all new bearings, new piston set, upgraded main seal kit, and so much more. Every nut and bolt was replaced or re-zinc plated. Even the proper paint and valve cover tags to make it complete and true to original. Someone is going to get many years of smiles out of this car. I have an open trailer and if you happen to be in the southwest I'm willing to personally deliver the car up to 500 miles away for $1 per mile if we agree on the timeframe. Contact me if you're interested, otherwise delivery will be your responsibility. If you want to drive it home that is up to your discretion but I won't make any gaurantees. It could however be an adventure. Sold as is. $500 deposit due within 48 hrs of auction close. On Jul-16-17 at 18:18:44 PDT, seller added the following information: A couple friendly ebayers have informed me that there are incorrect things about this car. I don’t claim to be an expert about these cars but I know some of the parts are from other years. The seats are from an earlier car. I actually think they look better though. I don’t know if the engine is correct, but that wasn’t a concern of mine. One also said that it’s older that 67, but the numbers check out. It looks like one of the doors was replaced with one a little later but looks almost identical and the trunk lid may be from a midget. Also the license plate light was shaved at some point so I used lighted led mounting posts. Thanks to the guys that are more knowledgable than myself to help identify some of these problems. The car is currently registered and insured by myself through Hagerty and the title is clear. If you’re looking for a one that’s completely correct and original this isn’t your car. But if you just want a fun car for a good price, this may be a good option. It is what it is. I’m losing my space soon so I don’t have time to do anything else with it. Therefore if the price is close I may drop the reserve. We’ll see how it goes, but someone will probably get a bargain. Please let me know any other questions you may have.
