Equipped with unique aerodynamics, wheels, and a larger, modified 2.3L I-4 motor, intercooler and turbo, this car still looks great and pulls like a freight train once that turbo hits. It is a blast to drive, especially with the top down! This example is 151,000 miles, well-cared for and serviced (synthetic oil at frequent intervals), and in fair overall condition (see photos). It has been my daily driver for years—continues to be—and is fully reliable and enjoyable to drive. The good parts: · The radio display has been replaced, all pixels work · The seat of the driver’s seat was replaced as it had worn out · A/C blows cold · The clutch was replaced in 2011 · New tires less than 2000 miles ago Known issues include: · The convertible top requires physical assistance to go down, but does work. It raises on its own. · The top leaks a bit if exposed to heavy rain. · CD changer also does not work, just like a few of the radio speakers · Mechanic has indicated that the brakes and power steering rack need to be serviced. · The check engine light is on—it goes on and off intermittently for an evaporative system leak. · The Viggen wheels are original, but they are slightly out-of-round. · A small spot of rust on the front fender (pictured). Notwithstanding the issues, I drive it every day. I also would not hesitate to drive it to Florida tomorrow. I love the car but I am forced to sell because of a new baby, which does not fit so well in a convertible. It is necessary to have in order to program a new one, I am told.
