1968 Chevrolet El Camino True SS Matching # 396 Up for auction is my 1968 Chevy True SS Chevy EL Camino 396 turbo jet 4-speed with 48k original miles. A box tittle, all original, power steering, power brakes, 12 bolt pozie rear axle, straight body, rust free. This is a matching number 396 big block with 4-speed hurst muncie transmission. Exhaust wise, has an after market bolt on borla exhaust. Not too loud but isn’t quiet. Sounds perfect. The clutch life is still very good. Brakes are good. Drives in a straight line, good turning suspension. All electrical running lights, brakes lights are in good working condition. Running wise this car starts up and goes every time.I know most big blocks have problems with starting and flooding out. This one’s a champ! Rims and tiresTire size 225/70R15 Factory rally wheels with center caps. For you classic fans to know most El Camino’s were hardly made as 4-speeds, there are about 200 give or take that exist.This car can be used as a daily cruiser, a weekend warrior, or a collectors item. When you take her out she is defiantly going to turn heads. The interior is in great condition.The top is in magnificent condition, no rips, tears, or bubbling. For paint, she looks black, but she’s burgundy her factory color. This car was bought at auto Barrett Jackson about 20 years ago, has been garage kept ever since.
