Vehicle Detail
Before you ask, yes this '67 Impala SS sold on eBay previously but the buyer never paid. Also, an eBayer kept bidding until the reserve was met and then retracted his bid. When I checked, this bidder had 264 retractions in the last year. Makes you wonder why eBay wouldn't do something about this. Oh well, that is how eBay is going these days. Sadly, honesty seems to be a dying trait. This is not my car but I am selling for a friend who does not do eBay. Let me say that I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, for the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard earned money, I feel that there is never too much information. As to myself, I am a (67) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I am retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback that is 100% after (1,170) transactions. Many of my transactions have been muscle cars, which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland, Australia and the Netherlands. My reputation for honesty is well known amongst muscle car lovers. The owner will consider some trade offers? What do you have? Here is a little history on the Chevrolet Impala: The Chevrolet Impala is a full-size car built by Chevrolet for model years 1958 to 1985, 1994 to 1996, and 2000 to present. The Chevrolet Impala derived its name from the African antelope of the same name. The Impala was Chevrolet's most expensive passenger model through 1965, and had become the best-selling automobile in the United States. In 1961, the Impala SS (Super Sport) was introduced to the market. The SS badge was to become Chevrolet's signature of performance on many models, though it often has been an appearance package only. The 1967 Impala SS was less decorated than other Impalas; Super Sports had black grille accents and black-accented body-side and rear fender moldings. Lesser models leaned more toward brightwork inside and out. Buyers could choose either vinyl bucket seats with a center console, or a Strato-Bench seat with a fold-down center armrest. Standard wheel covers were the same as the optional full covers on other big Chevrolets, but the centers featured the "SS" logo surrounded by tri-color ring of red, white and blue. "Chevrolet" and "Impala" callouts on the body were all replaced by attractive "Impala SS" badges. The 1965–1970 GM B platform is the fourth bestselling automobile platform in history after the Volkswagen Beetle, Ford Model T and the Lada Riva.
