Vehicle Detail

This 1972 F100 short wheelbase has a steering wheel and a heater, base model no power steering or power brakes. It would make an excellent first car for a kid - it is physically impossible to answer a phone call while this vehicle is in motion let alone text, you actually have to drive this truck. The 390 runs excellent and has more than enough power to send this little pickup down the road at freeway speeds, around town it does well also. It has new dual exhaust with Flowmasters, sounds great! Surprises lots of people, does not look as quick as it really is. Within the last two months it has had it's spring oil change and a tune up. The 4 speed trans shifts easily and the truck goes down the road straight, stops straight and drives as it should. It does get driven regularly and for considerable distances. Everything it does have works as it should, the glass is clear and free of chips and cracks. It could be a dependable daily driver, we use it for the fun of it though. The previous owner told us that the mileage was correct but it is nearly a 50 year old truck so who knows, he also said that the 390 was original to the truck. I find it hard to believe that this truck came with the 390 vs the 360 but it definitely runs like it. The interior of this truck is exceptionally clean and original, comfortable as well, quiet when it goes down the highway for what it is. The cab and front fenders do have rust that we consider beyond repair, it was used on a ranch in Wyoming and rarely was washed underneath if ever, the crossmember under the cab and anywhere else that mud could collect and stay did and it rusted out. The floors were repaired once it was all steam cleaned and are now water tight and solid. The cab mounts and core support are structurally sound and the rust has been treated so that it will not spread - the truck will last many more years as it is. The bed is very sound, solid with no rust. the frame is in excellent condition, never any signs of accidents or welding. This is a fun truck to drive as is and enjoy or get a cab and front clip from an F250 which are a dime a dozen compared to the short box models and set it down on there with some paint for a really sharp truck. We are not a dealer or a restoration shop, my brother and I have always had these trucks and just enjoy working on them and driving them, been doing it for much longer than it has been made popular here recently. We have a couple of videos of the truck on the freeway that can be sent, call (303) 594-0670 with any questions or more photos. There will be a $500.00 deposit due within 24 hours of the auction ending. The truck will need to be paid for and picked up within 7 days of the auction ending unless other arrangements are made.
