Vehicle Detail
1968 F100 Shortbox. Clean rust free SW Colorado high desert truck. The 360 2V V8 runs well and the four speed transmission is tight and shifts easily. The truck shows 68xxx miles but is most likely 168xxx, I don't really know. It does drive very well without any problems on the freeway or in stop and go traffic, I drive it about 40 miles round trip to work at least once a week to keep it up. The 360 does not look like it has ever been rebuilt, has all of the stickers and factory paint marks, it will leave a dime sized oil spot after a week or so but nothing else and no smoke or noises. The factory jack and tools are all still mounted under the hood on the fender well. In the last couple of months it had the oil changed and a tune up, within the last year exhaust, brakes including new soft rubber lines, shocks, and radius arm bushings. Tires also somewhere in there. it does have an auxiliary tank, that is why the dual exhaust runs on the outside of the frame. The glass is clear and free of chips and cracks, seat, interior panels, and carpet is very clean. The truck has been used for weekend Home Depot trips, cruises, and the occasional trip to a Dairy Queen for a weekend car show, always garaged and maintained. There is some spots on the yellow paint that it is flaking off, it still looks good though - on several occasions people have asked how we achieved that effect - buy it and have fun with those special types. The undercarriage does have a lot of gravel rash from years of unpaved roads but they must have kept it washed well, all of the drain holes were and are still clear so no dirt ever built up and caused rust issues, the floors, cab corners, and bed are in excellent shape structurally. Could be a great daily driver or solid original foundation for a restoration or hot rod. Call 303-594-0670 if you have any questions. We will require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the auction ending. The truck will need to be paid for and picked up within 7 days of the auction ending.
