My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the photos carefully and read the entire written description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2001 Land Rover Range Rover 4.6 HSE with just 95k original miles. If you're in the market for a P38, you probably already know enough about these to skip all of the introductory stuff. For those not familiar, I will say that these are among the most capable vehicles ever made. Every winter, for the past 5 years, I buy myself a Range Rover to handle the winter weather. As a car dealer, I can basically buy whatever I want to drive for the winter. Every winter, I choose a Range Rover. I would rate the exterior of this Range Rover to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in White Gold over Walnut, piped in black. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific Rover, the roof is beginning to fade in front of the sunroof. This is almost a standard feature at this age. The only other thing worth mentioning is that the plastic is cracked behind the RR wheel. You can see this in the photos. The finish shines nicely and looks as smooth as glass. All of the body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gates open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Rover looks. This low mile Range Rover is a fresh NEW CAR TRADE. I would rate the interior of this Range Rover to also be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, the interior is clean and shows well. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The leather seats are soft and supple, not neglected and brittle. As with most older Rovers, there are a few age related issues. First is the headliner. As with basically every other P38, the headliner is loose. The climate control screen is dim and difficult to read. Also, the speakers appear to be not working properly. You can hear sound from them, but it appears to be mostly bass. The radio turns on and works properly, so maybe it's an amplifier issue. The power windows and sunroof all work properly. The power locks do not appear to be working and the right outside mirror does not appear to be working. The factory navigation system powers up and appears to be in good working condition. You'll just need the discs. The climate control system is fully automatic and responds properly to commands. The heater works well but the air conditioning will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air. I swore the air was working when I bought this truck, but it sat for about a month while I was waiting on the title so perhaps there is a leak in the system. The a/c service port covers are off, so that also leads me to believe that there is a refrigerant leak somewhere. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Like I always say, "it's never over with a Rover". If you're in the market for one of these and have owned them previously, you know what I mean. If you're a newb, do some research. These are excellent and amazing vehicles, but they do require a bit of tolerance to live with. Mechanically, this Rover appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.6L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. This Rover is still riding on air. The suspension tries to adjust for speed but doesn't actually change settings, in my experience. There are no suspension warnings on and it always sits nice and high...never sags. You can hear the system run...so maybe it's just slower than I have patience for. Steering and braking feel good. You'll want to have the front end aligned, at some point. The wheel is a few degrees off...but it doesn't pull or pitch when you drive and the tires are worn evenly across so I don't suspect anything major. The engine makes good power and feels strong. She keeps perfect temperature at all times. The check engine light is on for an evap leak "no flow detected", which does not impact how she runs. You can hear a little belt noise...but, again, nothing bad. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts normally with zero issues. The full time 4WD system is tested and working properly. If you're looking for a clean, low mileage P38, this Rover deserves your serious consideration. Like I said, she'll need a few things...which comes with the territory of owning one of these. However, I don't see anything major. You can pick at the few things she needs as it suits you, and have a clean, low mile Rover...which are getting hard to find. Our preferred payment method is Cash in Person. For those customers who plan to have their vehicle shipped or cannot make it in person within 7 days, you may also pay for your vehicle by Certified Check or Bank-To-Bank Wire Transfer. If paying by Bank Check or Bank Wire Transfer, funds must clear before your vehicle is available for release. We Do Not Accept PayPal or Credit Cards...at all...period. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without prior written permission may be assessed a storage fee of $10/ day. Storage fees will be deducted first from any monies paid to Liberty Auto Exchange. Non-Paying Bidders: We take what we do very seriously and ask that potential bidders take placing their bid just as seriously. Non-Paying Bidders will be assessed a re-listing fee of $249. This fee is considered due and payable, without demand, to Liberty Auto Exchange on the 8th day from the end of the auction. Non-Paying Bidders will be reported to eBay, blocked from bidding on future auctions and may be referred to our Collection Agency for credit reporting and fee recovery. Fees and Taxes The only fee we charge is the $149 Administrative Fee that is also disclosed in the first sentence of the written description. Because we sell with NO RESERVE, we have no way to control how much (if any) money we make per vehicle. This fee helps us isolate a few of our fixed, per transaction expenses in a way that is fair to everyone. The winning bidder is responsible for paying all required fees to their respective state of origin.
