Vehicle Detail
This vehicle is a beauty and fun to drive! A great vehicle restoration project which has been partially completed. The vehicle is in good running condition. Here are some more details: 1972 400 hp engine Turbo 400 transmission Updated GTO hood Full exterior paint job, original color New water pump New Michelin tires New Brakes Entire interior is original other than new carpets and mats New convertible top material and fully functional motor for top up/down Original 8 Track/AM/FM stereo Things which are not working right now: Speedometer / Odometer - needs new cable Air Conditioner Original Clock built into dashboard You can find more pictures and videos at this link.On Jun-22-17 at 09:34:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Update 6/22/2017 9 am: I had one bidder come check out the vehicle in person last night and they pointed out some things which I think are relevant to share. I added 12 new pictures to the photo bucket link which all begin with IMG*. There is a hole about the width of my hand on the rocker where I curl my fingers inward JUST on the passenger side of the vehicle (see the new image added to the drive IMG_20170621_211625.jpg). Rocker on all other parts of the car is good. There are repaired holes in front of the rear seat buckets (see IMG_20170621_212100 and IMG_20170621_212421). The drive train (at least according to the writing on the part) appears to be from a 78 Oldsmobile Delta 88 (see IMG_20170621_212249 and IMG_20170621_212325). There is a custom bracket mount for the transmission because it is longer than the original transmission mount location. (see IMG_20170621_211721, IMG_20170621_211836, IMG_20170621_211946, IMG_20170621_212020, IMG_20170621_212518) and also related comment from mechanic in the receipt. Trunk is new solid metal construction. Engine Block Code is 62977 YH. I am taking the word of the mechanic who worked on the vehicle that this is a 1972 400 hp engine & transmission. They had to find parts which worked for the water pump and this is the type of model engine the parts worked for. The block code seems to line up with this, but it is still possible it could be a different year block. I included the receipt from the mechanic who worked on the vehicle with all that was done to it most recently. (see IMG_20170621_235214). There is a very small transmission fluid leak coming from a seal. I just didn't want to pay even more money than what I did already to have the mechanic fix it. I am completely transparent and want NO surprises for the winning bidder! Since we're so close - I'll go ahead and state it. Reserve is set at 10k.
