The two cylinder, boxer configured engine idles perfectly and runs clean and smooth. The 5 Speed transmission shifts perfectly through all the gears. -Brand new battery -Shaft driven rear wheel This Motorcycle feels solid and tight and is a pleasure to ride..... -The power train, engine/transmission very crisp-clean and well sorted -Reliable 649cc, 2 cylinder engine has no issues and runs like a top, impressive!!!!!!!! -Brakes, steering and suspension are in tip top condition -All mechanical and electrical systems are all in proper working order -Gauges show normal and accurate readings -Tires shows lots of tread on them, not sure of the age.... Cosmetically the bike looks great! The gas tank shows minor paint imperfections, as well as a couple of chips by the rear cover (see photos) As with any 30+ year old un-restored car or motorcycle you will find various nicks, scratches, touch ups, paint chips, dings, fading, hazing, etc. With that being said the new owner will be pleased. The overall appearance is outstanding! The Seating surface is in good condition (see pics). This handsome BMW R65 is turn key and and ready to be enjoyed......
