Vehicle Detail

Greetings everyone, this neat little collectible is a hard to find "Code 1" model, which came with a black exterior and a red interior with black piping on the interior. Engine number matches the car! 1592 CC 4 cylinder engine runs and has a freshly rebuilt Solex Carburetor(NOT PICTURED). Engine also has new exhaust and a little header pipe exhaust manifold for some extra toot. I have driven it around the neighborhood and it has brakes, steering, and clutch that feel ok to me. I have not seen any smoke while it is running. 4 speed transmission shifts thru all gears and I don't hear any synchro resistance/noise. Tires have tread as you can see and it has the hard to find wire wheels with real knockoffs. This is one of the last affordable English roadsters and this one is priced with a very fair reserve! Brand New Interior Upholstery: I just had a set of factory style original seats rebuilt from the frames up. The seats received all new internal foam, new support webbing, new red leatherette material, and correct contrasting black piping. The door panels on the doors were removed and new ones were made in matching red. The rear interior side panels were also made in new red leatherette. Dash looks to me to be mostly original and has not been hacked up. Doors shut nice and solid, windows roll up and down easily, and I don't see any cracks in any of the glass and the top window is still clear. As you can see, the trunk has aged well and I don't see any rust holes or rot, as one sees all too often on these cars. The body does have it's share of dents and dings here and there. The car is not perfect! It has a few scratches in various places and is in used condition, showing that it is not a newbie to planet Earth. The soft top goes up and down and is in ok condition but there are a couple of spots which could be sewn up or just leave as is. Looks mostly complete with a few odds and ends lost over the years such as the horn button, one securing rod for the left side of the top (Doesn't seem to be a real issue) Included is a booster for the brakes Seems like most of the Alpines out there on the road are the Series V models, I really don't see too many Series IV, so you'd probably be a real hit at the car meet with this one ;) Car has a valid NC title with matching original sunbeam VIN plate on cowl (SEE PICS). All in all, I'd say this is a very cool little car which is decent and affordable and with some TLC could be a real head turner. Priced below the 'others' but above the "too far gone junkers." I wish I could keep this car but I have 2 other projects needing attention. Any questions, just ask. Good luck bidding leave your phone number if you need info asap. Thank you!!!!
