My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the bes...t of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is my 1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. I have owned this Jeep for about 7 years and have finally decided to cut it loose as it is now sort of a pariah in my personal car collection. I was drawn to it because it is the final year of production for an iconic vehicle and I've always has a soft spot for them. However, I've sold my near mint condition Comanche and AMC Eagle wagon and this is the only one left of that group. Lately, she just sits in the corner on a battery tender. Last year, I drove it only 136 miles and I've only driven it once this year...and that was to have the annual inspection done...so I think it's time for her to find a new home. This Grand Wagoneer shows just 56,000 miles on the odometer, which I believe to be accurate. The title is clean, clear and shows mileage as actual...no "exempt" or any other funny business. I found this truck sitting under a tree at a gentleman's house who brought it up with him from South Carolina. It had some damage to the tail gate and bumper (he told me somebody backed into it). The truck was rust free and appeared to be in acceptable condition, otherwise. The repaint isn't bad, but you don't have to be an expert to see that it has been repainted. The most noteworthy thing about this truck is the lack of rust. It was rust-free when I bought it. When I had the tail gate and bumper replaced and the truck painted, I had the whole underside undercoated. You can see from the photos that you'd be hard pressed to find as much as a spec of rust under this truck. Some of the raised wood trim is faded from age, which is common. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The paint shines nicely all around and the body looks as smooth as glass. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with good tread all around. All of the original chrome shows well. Even the factory fog light covers are still intact and show well. Please take your time and check out each of the high quality photos carefully. There are 76 high quality photos of this truck in natural light. The interior shows a little age, as you'd expect. The door panels are clean and tight. All of the trim is present and intact. The dash is curling a little from age, which is normal. The headliner is sagging from age, which is also normal. The carpets are thick and full looking throughout the truck. The only wear visible is that the carpet is worn through from the driver's heel, somehow. When I got the truck, the floor mats were in a bag so I'm guessing they were never used. The power windows and locks work (the RR window is temperamental going up). The mirror adjustment does not work. The factory radio works fine but I'm not sure all the speakers work. There is visible wear on the steering wheel from age at the 12 o'clock position. The seats are clean and comfortable, showing no excessive wear. The rear defroster button is missing. Also, the rearview mirror is not attached (I have it...just never got around to gluing it back up). The climate control system is fully functional. The heater works properly and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR. The only other thing I can think of in the interior is that the little knobby end of the shifter on the column isn't there. Overall, it's a clean truck for it's age...just not perfect. Mechanically, this truck is in good running and driving condition. The 360ci V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I am not aware of any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The only thing I know of that it needs is this little emissions thing that sticks out from the bottom of the air cleaner. The old one broke and I have not been able to find a replacement. I drive this truck so little that I forget about it. Until it's warmed up, it'll sometimes stumble a bit if you goose it good to pull out. Once it's warmed up, it's perfect. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The big V8 is smooth, strong and quiet. The fuel gauge doesn't work...it never has for me. I just keep the tank full, as I do with all vehicles in my collection. The suspension is tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good. She just passed PA safety inspection with flying colors in March and hasn't been on the road since. She hits the road nice and straight. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts normally with zero issues. Out on the highway, she cruises easily and is a pleasure to drive. This Jeep gets looks, compliments, thumbs up, etc. every time I drive it. The 4WD drive system works properly, too. I want to take a minute to try and set accurate expectations. I know that 1991 is the most desirable year to buy and I know that a low mile, rust free example is very sought after. I've looked at what is on the market and there are a few pristine, low mile examples that have been professionally restored and are priced in the mid-upper 30's. Please understand that this is not that kind of truck. I would classify my Jeep as a good "driver quality" example. There are a few things that don't work. The paint job isn't concours quality perfect. The interior shows some age, etc. If you're looking to win trophies at Pebble Beach, this is probably not the truck for you. If you want a low mile, rust-free driver, you should pay close attention to this auction. You can take your time and keep picking at the few things it could use or just enjoy it the way it is. Against my better judgment, I am listing this with NO RESERVE like I do my other cars because I'm honestly not quite sure how to price it. I've been looking for a few weeks and have seen nothing like this to compare it to. There are the high dollar perfect ones, the middle of the road older ones and then the used up basket cases. I've not seen a low mile '91 that wasn't $35,000+ from one of those high end places that does full restorations. I shouldn't have to say this, but please be serious when you bid. If you require financing, please have that in order first as I can imagine it would be very difficult to finance a 26 year old vehicle. Please email me any questions and I will do my best to answer. I've done my bet to tell you everything I know about this I've had it a while and I'm sure I'm missing something...but you get the idea. It's not perfect...not claiming that it is. It is a good, rust-free driver. They made just over 1,500 of these in 1991. A low mile example is never going to go down in value...it's only going to go up. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. We sell vehicles to the public with NO RESERVE auction pricing. Most of the vehicles we sell are trade-ins at new car dealerships or high volume used dealerships in the area. We hand pick each of our vehicles based on quality, value and desirability. Basically...if I wouldnt drive it myself, Im not going to try to sell it to you. We give every vehicle a thorough test drive and a visual inspection before it is offered for sale. We strive to provide the most thorough and accurate description as possible within the scope of our ability. Please understand that we are not mechanics. The opinions contained within the written description should not be taken as a professional mechanics assessment and are not guaranteed. There is additional risk in purchasing a vehicle this way versus buying a vehicle from a retail dealership that has been fully serviced, reconditioned and inspected. We try to mitigate as much of that risk as possible for our customers...just keep in mind that most of our vehicles sell for significantly less than a similar vehicle would be priced on a retail lot. We offer warranties through CARS to help offset as much risk as possible. Please understand that some of the vehicles we sell are disqualified from warranty eligibility due to age, mileage, price or other factors established by CARS. This is out of our control. No amount shall be set aside or discounted if a vehicle does not qualify for coverage under the Terms & Conditions established by CARS. Please see each individual listing for Warranty Eligibility. We have sold over one thousand vehicles on eBay to happy new owners through NO RESERVE auctions and we aim to continue to do so. We are very proud of our feedback score and our many repeat buyers. If you have any questions about how we sell, our policies or questions about a specific vehicle, please send us a message. Vehicles ten model years old and older are exempt from odometer disclosure, this is a federal law. Mileage may be listed as "exempt" or "TMU" on titles for vehicles older than ten model years old. Should we have reason to believe that mileage listed for a vehicle is inaccurate, this will be disclosed within the written description provided for the vehicle regardless of the odometer status listed on the title. Terms and Conditions Payment Options We accept the following payment methods: - Cash (in person) Vehicle Pickup & Shipping All shipping charges are buyer's responsibility. Non-Paying Bidders: We take what we do very seriously and ask that potential bidders take placing their bid just as seriously. Non-Paying Bidders will be assessed a re-listing fee of $249. This fee is considered due and payable, without demand, to Liberty Auto Exchange on the 8th day from the end of the auction. Non-Paying Bidders will be reported to eBay, blocked from bidding on future auctions and may be referred to our Collection Agency for credit reporting and fee recovery.
