Vehicle Description Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the bes...t of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a car that is quite hard to find. This 2005 Volvo S50 has the desirable T5 high power engine, All-Wheel-Drive and the very rare 6 speed manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this S40 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking little sedan. It is finished in gorgeous black over gray leather interior. The black finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this beautiful S40. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the exterior trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The five spoke alloy wheels give the car an aggressive look and are wrapped in nice rubber. The rears have deeper tread than the front but treadwear is acceptable all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how good this S40 looks. I would rate the interior of this S40 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The leather seats are soft, supple and show no excessive wear. The headliner shows a few marks and loose spots, which is common as these cars age. The power windows, locks, seat, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds great. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature settings for both the driver and passenger. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. For a small car, the Volvo S40 offers impressive room for both front and rear passengers. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this S40 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.5L turbocharged five cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. When you first start it cold, you can hear something in the belt (I think) squeaking a little. After the car runs for maybe a minute, it goes away and you won't hear it again until the next time you start it cold. Doesn't seem like it's anything even close to serious...just want you to know so you're not surprised. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The check engine light is on. My scan tool would not communicate with this vehicle so I cannot disclose the code like I normally do. In my road test, I haven't noticed any drivability issues or witnessed the car do anything I would consider to be unusual. She hits the road nice and straight. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. This car is an absolute pleasure to drive. Gear changes through the rare six speed manual gearbox are clean and precise, as they should be. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This car has a very unique and desirable set of options that make it a very good find. You get the good engine, AWD and the rare six speed manual. This is one fun little car that is quite capable, too. If you've been looking for an all wheel drive Volvo with a manual transmission, this S40 T5 deserves your serious consideration. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Vehicles left longer than 14 days without prior written permission may be assessed a storage fee of $10/ day. Storage fees will be deducted first from any monies paid to Liberty Auto Exchange. Non-Paying Bidders: We take what we do very seriously and ask that potential bidders take placing their bid just as seriously. Non-Paying Bidders will be assessed a re-listing fee of $249.
