Contact | Website | Ebay Feedback This is an all original 1974 Cougar XR7 The highly desirable/powerful 460 c.i. engine starts right up and runs extremely well. The idle is smooth and the XR7 is very quiet. The Cougar does not leak, smoke, overheat or make any unusual noises. The entire drive train is solid and tight. The Automatic Transmission shifts properly into all gears The brakes, steering and suspension are in good working order. This XR-7 is a pleasure to drive. -Air conditioning blows strong cold air Cosmetically this Cougar looks great and has a lot of patina. Aside from minor rust spots showing on the lower edge of the drivers door (see photo) and a few minor paint blisters the body is superb. The structural integrity is A+, the frame/floor boards are rock solid. The car is a survivor and gets high marks for being completely untouched. The original attractive green paint finish has been well preserved and has a lovely shine. There are minor dings, dents, chips, scratches, scrapes, hazing, fading and nicks......As can be expected from any 40+ year old vehicle -All emblems and trim are complete and look great! -White wall tires all have good tread remaining....not sure of the age/we recommend replacement... -Nice stock steel rims with original center caps, one fell off during our photo-shoot. -Front bumper is straight and the chrome looks great! The rear bumper has peeling/imperfections and would look great if it was redone. -Vinyl roof has cracking and imperfections and would look amazing if it was redone, it is still very presentable and only adds character. The original interior is in really nice shape for its age. Great looking cloth seating surfaces with minor imperfections. The headliner shows a minor rip. Dash/Door panels shows in remarkable condition. Original carpet shows wear on the drivers side. Great dash instrumentation, all gauges show accurate readings and were fully functional when tested. Steering wheel has some typical imperfections. -Original factory radio/speakers sound loud/clear, rare and definitely a plus. We believe the odometer reading to be the total original miles however due to the 5 digit odometer and the age of the vehicle there is no way for us to verify the actual mileage. This is a true American classic from the 70's era, that will only appreciate in value. California buyers, or if you plan on picking up in California you will be responsible to pay us for full price of motor vehicle + tax, title, registration (current or past due), smog *if applicable), transfer, DMV and all other fees associated with a sale in California. Title transfer and smog takes up to 10 business days. Vehicle must be paid for in full prior to title transfer.
