Vehicle Detail

I purchased this bike as a non-running project, that needs very little to bring back to life. It is in great condition, and I was able to get it to run, although it needs the carburetors gone through. I removed an old Windjammer fairing and purchased all the parts needed to put it back to its original configuration.I will install the remainder of the parts before the sale ends. I am downsizing the number of vehicles I have, to ease my retirement obligations. This bike is currently registered, with its original blue California plate. I probably have more money invested in this bike than it will sell for, but it has been chosen as one of the vehicles to go. If you need more information, please just ask. I will do my best to provide more detail, or photos. This is a very nice bike and should not have any issues; however I can not provide a warranty or guarantee, for obvious reasons. I have never, nor will I ever allow someone to ride one of my motorcycles, for insurance and liability reasons. The bike has been stored inside, in an undisclosed location, since I acquired it. I may deliver this bike, depending upon location and sale price. Shipping, or delivery will be discussed and negotiated on an individual basis. I can provide enclosed trailer delivery. The buyer can also choose to pick it up, or provide shipping. In any case, the purchase needs to be completed before it leaves my possession. On Jun-02-17 at 15:00:08 PDT, seller added the following information: June 2: I cleaned the carburetor jets and the engine runs on all four cylinders. Absolutely no smoke, not even on start up. I can send a video of the bike running, if it's desired. Carburetors will still need to be rebuilt as the needle and seats leak and overflow the bowls, but she's a runner. No funny noises, or any other issues. I also installed the lights, so it's now a complete bike. It will also need tires. The registration is non-op, in my name. All that's needed is insurance to remove it from non-op status. On Jun-02-17 at 17:56:06 PDT, seller added the following information: I did not have the VIN at the time of listing. It is RC013002147, so it was built toward middle of the production run. I think they built somewhere around 5000 of these anniversary bikes. The difference between them and the regular 750 is the dual overhead cam, which first appeared on these bikes. On Jun-03-17 at 14:38:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I gave the bike an inspection today and provided more pictures. Someone patched the right muffler and the left has a small rust spot. The tank is scratched on either side from some dumdum installing the fairing. Just want an accurate representation of the bike. The side covers have the typical clear coat peel, but I'm certain they could be re-cleared and look great. The emblems are near perfect. The aluminum on the bike is NOT nasty, like it usually gets. This is still a great example of one of these bikes. On Jun-06-17 at 19:32:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a little known secret. This bike is on a non-op title, which means nothing, other than it can't be operated on the highway until proof of insurance is provided. There are NO EXTRA FEES involved when registering a vehicle with a non-op title. Actually, the secret is; when a non-op vehicle is transfered and the non-op title is retained with the new owner, NO SALES TAX WILL BE CHARGED. At least with the California DMV. Furthermore, when the non-op status is removed, NO SALES TAX will be charged. It's a loop hole with the California DMV. I'm not sure about other states. This bike is on a non-op title because I was going to make it a project, but decided not to. So, you won't need to pay sales tax if you transfer title correctly. Kinda nifty, I think.
