Vehicle Detail
You are viewing my 1965 Chevrolet Impala, I bought this car from the original family that owned it since driving off the showroom floor of Sullivan Chevrolet in Cranford, New Jersey in September of 1965. ( All info provided on the original dealer brochure and Protet-O-Plate) The car was always garaged and well maintained as you can see from the pictures. There was one repaint in its original Artesian Turquoise color, back in 1975, but the paint has held up very well. There is no rust on the car anywhere except for a few small surface rust areas where there are some paint chips and some dime-sized surface spots in the trunk. Otherwise, the trunk, floors, rockers, frame, and all body panels are in great rust-free condition. there are a couple of small dents in a couple of places but as you can see, for being 52 years old, the car presents very well. The interior is in very nice condition with no rips or tears in the carpet, seats or headliner. Everything works on the car as it should right down to the original AM radio! I made this car a safe daily driver by having the shop completely go through the car and replace everything it needed to take my family wherever we wanted to go. The transmission was redone, full tune up done, all brake parts were completely replaced, all belts, hoses, etc, even the carburetor was rebuilt and just had a full alignment done yesterday. There was even a key activated kill switch installed as well as an extra power source for a phone, etc. The car is ready for the next owner to enjoy. The previous owner told me even its original 283 engine was rebuilt at one point. I drive the car everyday to work, roughly 75 miles and get tons of compliments, especially because of the turquoise color and the wheels. I put the Torque Thrust wheels on the car to give it a different pro-touring look, and only did so because they looked like the old Cragar wheels. ***The car will be sold with both its original 14" wheels and hubcaps AND the Torque Thrust wheels (unless the buyer wants just the Original set of 14" wheels/tires/hubcaps, let me know before bidding.) Either set will fit in the massive trunk, haha. The full set of 14" wheels and tires were actually in the trunk for most of the pics, so that is why the car was sitting a little lower. One of the Torque Thrust wheels will need to be refinished due to a bend-and some scrape marks, but still obviously holds air. The picture in front of the house shows the actual ride height. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. You can fly in a drive the car home or I can assist in shipping. Don't miss this rare opportunity to own an original classic in its original condition that you can enjoy everyday.
