96 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Mercedes Benz introduced the special SL500 Silver Arrow Limited Edition in 2002 to commemorate the historic and successful Mercedes Benz Silver Arrow racing cars. As compared to the standard SL500, the Silver Arrow received special (and beautiful) metallic silver paint, aluminum exterior trim, plus a brushed aluminum instrument cluster, aluminum shift gate, pedals and grill. Unique mechanical componentry includes AMG multi-piece, six-spoke 18-inch wheels, factory drilled brake rotors front and rear and Xenon high-intensity gas discharge headlights. Inside, the Silver Arrow SL500 features two-tone silver and black leather seats, plus a matching steering wheel and shift knob, with real birdseye maple grain wood. The Mercedes Benz SL500 Silver Arrow Limited Edition total worldwide production was only 1,500 vehicles. I bought this particular Silver Arrow in 2003 with about 6,400 miles on the odometer, with current mileage at about 81,000 (approximate, as it’s my daily driver). In my 14 years of ownership, the car has always been in a climate-controlled garage in California. The car is in excellent condition and service, by a Mercedes dealer, is up-to-date. The next routine service isn’t due for 6,100 miles. The car has two tops, soft and hard. The original soft top was replaced in May 2015, and the tires, purchased last February, are Michelin Pilot Super Sport on all four wheels. An aftermarket Bluetooth cellphone module is integrated into the Mercedes multimedia fiber optic network so you can send and receive calls through the vehicle audio system. Tele-Aid connected vehicle services (emergency communications, stolen vehicle tracking, roadside assistance, etc.) is paid up for life. The California title is clear and in my name. All service and sales records will be included in the sale. A rack (on wheels) for storage of the hardtop is included. The Silver Arrow came with a special aluminum briefcase with a special pen and key fob, all included with the sale. The briefcase also contains a certificate of authenticity for the Silver Arrow vehicle. Why am I selling? After 14 years, it’s time for a change. I can say that the Silver Arrow is the best car I have owned, and that includes Jaguars, Lexus’, and Corvettes. It was my first Mercedes, and I am impressed with the quality of workmanship and components. The 5-liter engine is powerful with a smooth and responsive drivetrain. Because of my satisfaction with the Silver Arrow, I have bought a newer Mercedes Benz SL-Series.
