Vehicle Detail
I purchased this car in August of 2016 to serve as a daily driver/second car, but no longer need a second car. - 2004 BMW 325xi- WBAEU33424PF61825- 192xxx Miles- Cold weather package, Navigation- Car location: Buckeye Arizona (Suburb of Phoenix)- Willing to ship? No2004 325xi in JapanRot/Electric Red with a Black interior. It has heated seats, Navigation(Missing the map disc), and the 5 speed manual transmission. It has wheels off of an e90, which are 8.5 inches wide along with the 225 width run-flats that would have came on that e90. This setup will fit 255's no problem.Positives:-Upgraded e90 wheels w/ 225/45/17 Continental ContiProContact SSR Runflats-Navigation-Heated seats-Original projector headlights-New Bilstein front struts and mounts(Installed at 189xxx)-New Genuine BMW front axles with 3 year 36,000 mile warranty(Installed at 189xxx)-5 Speed-Angel eyes-No CELs-Aux Input W/ Bluetooth(BMW official kit)-Airbag recalls done(Takata Recall)-All wheel drive-All windows and sunroof work great-New Guibo and center driveshaft support mount at 177649 Miles-New belts, tensioners, plugs at 177649 Miles-Cooling system refresh including expansion tank done along with BMW blue coolant.-Brand new front control arm bushings April 26, 2017-Alignment April 27, 2017Negatives-Remote needs new battery.-Small snag on driver's seat-Headlights are sun-beat($40 for new plastics)-Drivers mirror clear coat bubbling/peeling-Touch up paint on roof-Console lid hinge broken(New console included)-Small trunk dent-Right rear door inside trim has a crack(Friend stepped on it while I was replacing the window regulator)-Front tire wear on inside edgesUpon purchasing the car, I immediately installed refurbished genuine BMW front axles because the boots on the originals were beginning to split. That was about 4,000 Miles ago. At the same time, because it was apart anyway, I replaced the front struts with Bilstein B4's and replaced the right rear window regulator. The Navigation LCD display has recently been replaced with a genuine new BMW LCD and the BMW auxiliary input kit was installed with bluetooth functionality. Since then, it hasn't needed anything and has driven great.Just put new front control arm bushings in the car. It drives fantastic now and should need nothing but oil changes for quite a while.Another set of bushings will be included with the car because I accidentally bought 2 sets, along with other miscellaneous items such as an extra console, new console leather, Mann oil filter, extra interior clips, extra marker lights, and extra strut tower reinforcement plates. It already has plates installed. I accidentally bought extras of those, too.As for maintenance, car-fax shows that this car has been serviced at Dealerships for most of its life. The car is rust-free, which seems to be hard to find in an xi. It was originally sold in New York, but left the North-East when it was less than a year old, which would seem to explain why it is so clean. Cosmetically, it has some Arizona issues. The headlights are fogged from the sun, but just need the plastic covers replaced ~$40. Also, the red painted plastic on the driver's mirror needs to be repainted as the clear coat is peeling. It could use a new shift knob. There is a small dent in the trunk. Lastly, the silver trim on the inside of the right rear door is cracked. It was stepped on while I replaced the window regulator. I believe a new one is ~$40.I think I have an extra quart of paint for the car to address the mirror and roof. If I find it, it will be included with the car. This car is mechanically solid and very reliable. It should need nothing done for a long time besides oil changes. I will be sad to see it go and I think it is priced fairly for what it needs. So that's all I can think of. This listing makes it sound like a POS, but the car really is solid, and great to drive. I just wanted to comprehensively list all the issues/quirks. It's perfectly livable as is, and it's a car that will still make the right buyer very happy.
