Vehicle Detail
This beautiful 1970 Cuda has a 70 440 6 pack, non numbers matching engine and transmission.I have owned the car for 30+ years. Engine has standard steel rods and crank with Clevite bearings & hardened rod bolts.Transmission is a 727 Torque Flight, rear end is a 8 3/4 with 3:23 gears. Paint is the original color - Lemon twist yellow with black hockey sticks.Car was striped to the metal, rotated, and painted with lacquer 25 years ago.It is starting to show it's age, but it still looks very good, as you can see from the pictures takenlast week. Interior is black with bucket seats, and auto console with slap stick shifter.Has rally gauges that look real good, but the tachometer is not working. The original hood was a Shaker, but now has a Rally hood. Car has been garaged for 20 years, and driven very little. There are less than 5,000 miles driven since the last rebuild. The car is not totally factory original, but it drives and runs great and always turns heads.local pickup onlyOn Apr-26-17 at 13:51:10 PDT, seller added the following information: I have many people asking additional questions about the cuda , so I am adding interior pictures and trunk pictures. Also, to answer some questions about the engine I will describe it in detail. The engine is a 1970 F440 HP block, forged steel crank crankshaft, non six pack rods, non six pack dampner, Aluminum six pack Intake, 1970 six pack carb setup, 906 heads ported with 2.14 intake and 1.88 exhaust valves, 402 stamped six pack oil pan, 10:1 compression forged pistons, high capacity oil pump, hydraulic cam with 488 lift, hp six pack exhaust manifolds, carbs were tuned for quicker vacuum opening for outboard carbs, transmission is either a 69 or 70 year but not original to the car, rebuilt with a mild shift kit. these parts are all period correct, but it is not date coded to exact production date of the body. In other words this is not a perfect 5 star engine assembly, it is a great running engine that was assembled 30 years ago using period correct parts, and still runs great today. hopefully this answers a few questions, thanks for looking. On Apr-26-17 at 14:07:32 PDT, seller added the following information: More information, the radiator is a 3 core radiator 956, also I have the exact original one that needs re-cored as well. the car was originally a column shift bench seat car, it no longer has a column shift in it since it is console shift now, I may have the column shift but I will need to double check. As far as sheet metal on the car goes, I purchased the car in 1980 and had it restored completely, was restored again to it's current condition in the early 90's. The car has had new metal installed on lower quarters, trunk was in good shaped when restored, hood and fenders from parts cars, good frame rails, has six pack factory torque boxes. I am trying to answer all questions, to be clear the car was restored with the intent of driving it and enjoying it at the time. Doing a numbers matching restoration was not a concern back then. any other questions feel free to ask. I will try to answer them all.
