Your are bidding on a 1979 Ford Cobra 2.3 L Official Pace Car 63rd annual Indy 500 May 27, 1979. This was the first year Indy utilized a pace car.The body,of this car, all the way around, is in very good condition. Molding on the right door is in back seat( see photo). The interior is in good condition but shows usage on the front seats. The head liner needs fixing or replaced. This car was driven to this location two days ago from a shop where it has been setting for 4 yrs. It is dusty and needs washed but exterior very good under the dirt. Has not been registered since 2013. Drives and runs good. Has 66,000 miles. Seems to run really well after 1100 RPM A little rough before that. Could be because it has been sitting so long. The drive belts for the small emission pump and the AC pump have been removed. This car was built in San Jose Ca. where only 1530 were made the others in Dearborn, Mich. The seat belt buckles are marked Firestone. Please refer to the pictures and decide for your self, the condition of this item. Thanks for looking.
