I purchased this motorcycle out of long storage about a year ago. The last State inspection expired in May, 2000, so it's been off the road for about 16+ years. I installed a new battery, cleaned up the carburetors and it started right up. Miles on the odometer is 9,568. When the title was transferred, we guessed at the miles so the title shows 9,885. Judging from the condition of the bike, I believe the mileage is accurate. I have the Pennsylvania title in my name. As I stated, the motor will start right up and runs fine. I'm too old to ride this heavy and powerful bike so I haven't driven it. If I can get some help to place it on the backstand, I will run it through the gears. Before this bike is ridden at speed, I would check the brakes and replace the tires as they are at least 16 years old. The engine could also use a tune up - oil change, plugs, etc. As far as I can tell, everything on the bike works except the brake light. I haven't checked it out, but there isn't much to it - either a brake switch or a bulb. This is a vintage, almost 40 year old bike with less than 10,000 miles. The spoke wheels really make it look vintage. This would be an easy restoration to make it look and run new again. It looks like it was kept inside. The seat is soft and not worn or cracked. The chrome is nice, but not perfect. The flaws that I see on it are as follows: The tank and front fender each has 2 larger dents - see photos with arrows pointing to them.The top of the tank and top of taillight support have been repainted black - not a good job and has scratches. I have a low reserve on it as I have no need for it. NO TRADES. Please don't ask the reserve. Just bid what you want to pay. There is no buy it now. The auction will go on until the listing ends. You can see the tach working, lights, etc.. I forgot to mention above that the engine sounds strong, starts very easily, doesn't smoke or make any unusual noises. No known problems with this bike except as mentioned above regarding the old tires, etc.. On Mar-24-17 at 02:48:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Since I have no need for the bike, I've decided to drop the reserve. The next bid will take off the reserve and the bike is for sale to the highest bidder. At the current level, this is a tremendous buy for this low mileage vintage bike.
