This car is a running driving car but it needs some tlc. The owner was a neighbor who passed away unexpectedly and his family in Michigan asked me to help them with disposing of his estate. The car was driven daily until May of 2016 and has been started frequently since then. It has developed a power steering leak and the power windows have become unpredictable. I have done a little research on these coupes and I know what the collectors guides values are but at the same time I'm realistic when it comes to the cost of making repairs on these cars. It needs a complete restoration, inside and out. The body is solid but the paint is bad and most of the plastic trim is deteriorating which is a common issue in Florida. The leather is cracking and the interior shows wear and tear. It starts up every time and it seems to have a good drivetrain. I restore classic American cars but I have very little knowledge of the workings of these old Mercedes. I believe it has the potential to be restored to it's former glory in the hands of the right owner. Please feel free to contact me with any question you may have about this car.
