I only bought this Porsche in December but the individual I bought it from indicated his family members owned it since 2010. In short, a friend of mine backed out buying another convertible I own so I decided to let the Porsche go and keep my C70. The car looks and drives nice. The engine is strong and the car shifts well. The prior owner said the clutch had been done recently. You can tell the car has been taken care of. Mechanically, it seems sound. The check engine light is on and sending a code of P1126 which seems to be a faulty gas cap or an oxygen sensor. I have a Porsche gas cap on order. The only other thing is that the ignition switch will go just a little too far thereby making some of the options not work. If you remember to move it back to the left just a couple of millimeters after starting it, it is not an issue. Cosmetically, the two seats have minor tears that need to be patched up and I would replace the rear window but it does not appear to be leaking. I think it is nice car that will allow someone to have a lot of fun this summer. If I had not already dropped so much $ into the C70, I would probably keep it. Also, the carfax shows an odometer issue. I do think the miles showing are accurate from the condition of the car. The prior owner claimed they were but his grandfather had listed them as not actual for whatever reason when he was licensing it. I found the description from the previous owner and I have listed it below: "1999 Porsche Boxster, 109k miles, 5 speed. Clean Indiana title clear of any liens. My grandfather bought it in 2008 or 2009 and kept it till 2015ish. I purchased it from the man that bought it. It's had all maintance kept up on it. Serpentine belt, new coolant hoses, spark plugs, new clutch, new tires, fresh oil change and filter. I also have a complete service manual for the Porsche. It sits in my garage more than I drive it and on the flip side I'm just about to tall to fit in it. Needs nothing but a new home and to be drove more. There are a couple small door dings in it nothing major. Paintless dent repair could be done to remove those. " This would be a great christmas present for someone special, or a first car for a teen. A few little odds and ends and it would be a very nice car.
