First off this customized car is simply stunning ---in fact my wife who doesn't get excited about ANY car, saw this one passing by as she was heading home from work and she called me and said "I just saw the coolest car ever and it's headed your way"!! It has a flawless custom bronze paint job w/a light/medium buckskin vinyl interior that was designed by a local upholsterer w/an eye for colors, style, and design The engine is a carbureted GM 350 w/a 350 turbo automatic transmission, full gauge set, 2 door, keyless/door popper type entry, a/c, tilt, manual cooling fan and an electric pusher fan to help w/keeping the radiator/condensor cool, shorty chrome headers followed by duals w/long bullet style mufflers w/chrome exhaust tips exiting straight out the back and just under the bumper...it has chrome faux 'Lake' pipes for that true '50's look. The brakes are drums at all four corners w/the faux disc rotors accenting the 18" alloy wheels and like new low profile tires. It has a custom vinyl bucket seat interior w/faux painted dash and interior metal trim, tinted windows w/manual regulators and a custom windshield. The louvered hood is accented by the 50's model chrome Corvette grille and the body accents include: Frenched headlights/tail-lights/antenna, shaved door handles and mild custom pinstriping...all are more evidence of the builders forethought and design artistry. The cars am/fm/cd system is tucked inside the fully finished trunk with amp and speakers. This is a local car built by a truly talented craftsman---his works rival the custom car builders that we read about and remember from the 50's....'60's...and '70's...Oh I forgot to mention that the '51 drives like a dream and cruises at highway speeds w/ease!!
