XL250 4-Valve It is your basic model, so it did not come with blinkers, horn, luggage rack, or gauges, although the drives for them are in place from the factory. It is grandfathered in and titled and registered this way This bike was used primarily as a pit bike and an RV tag-a-long, lately Very dependable. Usually starts on the first kick. I bought it a couple of years ago, and completely disassembled it , cleaned everything , then re-assembled it ,using some OEM parts and some after-market items. The engine was sound, so it was not completely rebuilt, but I did do a valve job on it. Everything else was adjusted, per the manual, which comes with the bike purchase. I have lowered the bike 2", for ease of loading.I will include the original front spring inserts, but you would need a heavier spring/shock to raise the back up... or to ride two, or for riders over about 180 lbs. It IS NOT a correct restoration, but just a sharp looking vintage machine that draws attention and comments wherever it goes. Note : The previous owner had the title history rebuilt and titled it in his name. However, the agent came up with a 1975 year /model on the title. Why? Don't ask me . It is definitely a 1972, with a corresponding frame number. (They did not have VIN's on 72 Hondas) However , it sailed right through the registration process for me, and I don't believe it would be an issue anywhere. Title to go, in my name.
