Vehicle Detail

2015 Honda® CBR® 1000RR SP Repsol Edition"This CBR is exceptional. Low miles, never down, finish is in excellent condition, and rides like new. This stunning Repsol Edition is a head turner, and needs an owner who appreciates the legacy Honda and Repsol have made together."Inspired By A Champion. No motorcycle connects rider, machine and road like a sportbike. The immediate acceleration, the chassis that feels like an extension of your own skeleton, the power, the handling—and the bigger the sportbike, the more intense the experience. Honda®’s CBR®1000RR has long been the ultimate Superbike for experienced aficionados, and the 2015 CBR®1000RR is really something special. First off, we’re celebrating Honda® MotoGP rider Marc Marquez’s back-to-back World Championships with some special graphics packages on the standard and SP models. Then there’s the CBR®1000RR ABS version, with the most sophisticated brake package in the class. But here’s the biggest news: Track-day enthusiasts need to check out the CBR®1000RR SP Repsol Edition version. With fully adjustable Öhlins front and rear suspension, Brembo front brakes and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SC premium tires. The SP also includes a special lightweight subframe with solo seat cowl. The SP doesn’t stop there, with hand-selected engine parts for weight and balance, including pistons and connecting rods. Features Include: Rider Position In 2015, the footpegs were moved further back by 10mm, and the handlebar angles revised inward and downward to move the rider triangle slightly downward and forward. Windscreen A bubble-shaped windscreen works in concert with the rider position changes to reduce wind resistance. LCD Instruments The CBR®1000RR’s full-screen LCD instrumentation includes a lap timer, trip and fuel-consumption computer, five-level customizable shift indicator, gear-position indicator and peak-rpm memory function. 12-Spoke Wheels With their consistent rigidity and balance, these sharp-looking 12-spoke cast-aluminum wheels work with the fork and enhance suspension feedback to deliver real handling improvements. Big Piston Fork (BPF) Front Suspension The CBR®1000RR’s front suspension uses a Big Piston Fork (BPF). The 43mm Showa fork is smoother, more responsive and gives you excellent front-end feedback. Centrally Located Fuel Tank The CBR®1000RR’s 4.7-gallon fuel tank is positioned in the center of the chassis and low in the frame. This allows for a more compact design but more importantly, it helps centralize the bike’s mass. Increased mass centralization means the CBR® is more responsive to rider input, especially when leaning the bike into a turn or standing it up at the exit. Assisted Slipper Clutch Superbikes can deliver a great deal of back-torque through the driveline, upsetting handling—not the CBR®1000RR. Its Honda®-designed assisted slipper clutch is the same type used on our MotoGP bikes. The design does away with the need for heavy clutch springs, ensuring full power transmission with smooth shifting and a light clutch pull at the lever. Twin-Spar Aluminum Chassis A four-piece aluminum frame design balances strength, rigidity and lightness. Wrapped tightly around the engine, the structure helps centralize the CBR®1000RR’s mass for more responsive handling—some of the best anywhere on two wheels Layered Fairing There’s no mistaking the 2015 CBR®1000RR, thanks to its layered fairing bodywork. Lean, mean and more aggressive from front to back, it’s a real attention getter, even when it’s standing still. Brembo Monobloc Front Calipers The race-proven Brembo monobloc calipers are light, but they provide exceptional stiffness and excellent braking performance. 2015 Honda® CBR® 1000RR SP Repsol Edition Specs Year: 2015 Manufacturer: Honda® Model Name: CBR® 1000RR Trim Name: SP Repsol Edition Generic Type (Primary): Sport Engine Type: 999cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder Bore: 76mm Stroke: 55.1mm Induction: Programmed Dual Stage Fuel Injection (PGM-DSFI) with 46mm throttle bodies, Denso 12-hole injectors Ignition: Computer-controlled digital transistorized with 3-D mapping Compression Ratio: 12.3:1 Valve train: DOHC; four valves per cylinder Drivetrain Transmission: Close-ratio six-speed Final Drive: #530 O-ring-sealed chain Front Suspension: 43mm Ohlins inverted fork with spring-preload, rebound and compression damping-adjustability; TBD inches travel Rear Suspension: Unit Pro-Link® Ohlins Shock with spring-preload, rebound and compression-damping adjustability; TBD inches travel Front braking system: Brembo four piston calipers with floating 320mm dual discs Rear braking system: Single piston caliper 220mm disc Front Tire: 120/70ZR-17 radial Rear Tire: 190/50ZR-17 radial Dimensions Rake/trail: 23.0° 3' (Caster Angle)/96.0mm (3.7 inches) Wheelbase: 55.5 inches Seat Height: 32.2 inches Curb Weight: 467.3 pounds (Includes all standard equipment, required fluids and full tank of fuel— ready to ride.)
