It's a Subaru Outback so you probably know that this car is solid. It can handle harsh winters, great for hauling loads of stuff, comfortable and reliable. I'm the only owner of this car and I can tell you everything about it. For the most part I followed the maintenance schedule that you're given when you buy the car new. I don't have all the records of every oil change because there's only so many receipts you can shove into a glove box. The car runs great. It's a manual transmission and the clutch is smooth and easy. The car has only been in one accident. I was making a left hand turn and for some reason an unlicensed driver behind me decided he wanted to pass me on the left. The front fender got torn up so I replaced that. It was a low-speed collision so the frame and everything else is fine. I've taken this car on some long trips back and forth across the country, but for the most part it has been a city car. Which means it has a lot of little dings and scratches. The only significant one is a big dent on the hood. The car was parked at a Renaissance Festival and some drunk guy was in the parking lot jumping from car to car. FML. There's normal wear and tear on the interior. I don't smoke, so there are no cigarette burns or smells. There is one small tear in the front passenger seat. The front floor mats are pretty beat up, especially the drivers side. The trunk had some contact cement spill in it a few years ago and the handle to open up where the spare tire is has broken off. If you're looking at a Subaru Outback then you're probably an active person like myself. There are racks for two bicycles on the roof and I've added a trailer hitch for hauling. If you are going to do any hauling, the electrical hookup (which synchs your turn signals & brake lights with the trailer) will need to be replaced. Repairs- the clutch was replaced 4 years ago. I replaced both rear struts 5 years ago. A bearing was replaced in one of the back wheels last year. The front passenger window was replaced because someone smashed it in San Francisco in order to steal $7 in change. I replaced the windshield because road debris put a small crack in it. I've replaced break pads and various other parts over the year. I'm not sure when I had the timing belt replaced. I think it was around the 90,000 mile mark. The tires on the car are pretty much new. There's a new battery in the car. I take it in every 15,000 - 20,000 miles for a full check up and I always ask about the timing belt & gaskets and have been given a clean bill of health. Please feel free to ask me any questions. I love this car and I'm sure you will too. If you're in the Chicago area please come by and take a look.
