Vehicle Detail
Scooter was bought new by seller in 2009. It has not run for a few years and has been in a storage unit. The Ruckus will need work to get it running again. It has been garaged for years. The engine does turn over via the kickstart and is not seized. It will need a new battery. For some reason, back when I rode it, it would need a new battery every couple years, as it could be kickstarted, but would not electric start. The scooter is in fair shape with no major crash damage but does have scratches and dings due to use. I did several upgrades and modifications to the Ruckus: Floor deck cut mod, so engine can be accessed without removing entire floorboardFront fork rebound spring/anti-bottom out upgrade. Including the procedure I followed and spare/original parts.Horn moved into battery box where it belongs.Removed analog speedometer, replaced with Vapor digital dash. Vapor box and docs included, along with original speedometer and sender cable. Backlit.Removed fuel level sensor. Replaced with Honda Metro sensor, installed Stage 6 fuel gauge. Backlit. Installed Honda Virago kickstand. This way you don't need to centerstand it all the time and you look totally awesome. Including papers for that and extra hardware.Painted exhaust and belt cover red.Installed motorcycle sidebags. Including their spare parts, papers and rain covers.Installed Kitaco rear shock. Including OEM shock.Cargo net around the underseat. One Honda backup key and other key has red anodized lug nut mod.Two Dowco scooter covers (one maybe too small. Forgot why I have two)New unused OEM fender. I was going to cut the tail off the fender and never got around to it.Changed air filter to a K&N. Includes OEM. The pictures show a cable lock but that is not included, I'd forgotten the key to remove it during picture time. It is a neat little bike, I liked riding it around but I don't have time for bikes now and it has to go. Please review pictures, read entire post, and ask questions. There are some things I CAN NOT DO:Get it running for youHave it evaluated at a service shopHave it safety or emission inspected Deliver it to a service shop upon saleNo returns: per terms of this auction the bike is as-is where-isI can answer some basic questions and add a pic but I cannot dig into the engine to look at something or take stuff apart. What the buyer will have to do:Carry out repairs or part replacements to get bike running. Must pick up -after- the holidays, December 27th Must pay cash in hand for closing auction amountMust pick up at storage location in Dupo, IL (twenty minutes from St Louis)I can help get it onto your vehicle but after that you are on your own.Have room for the several boxes of extras and accessoriesShow ID, sign title and bill of saleComply with eBay TOS The scooter is sold as is, where is, no returns. It will need some work. Let me know if you have questions and things for browsing. On Dec-17-16 at 14:43:35 PST, seller added the following information: Bonus: Years ago I installed a battery maintainer jack on the scooter, so the battery can be maintained without opening the battery box. I thought the maintainer was lost to time but I've found it. It's an Accumate 6/12Volt smart charger/maintainer. Standard/gels/AGM. You also get it's box, instruction leaflets, and an adaptor with alligator clips on it.
