Vehicle Detail

The Good -Truck has high miles but is in good shape! The rear end was professionally rebuilt last July (2015) and only has 10K miles on it. The rebuild included removing the rear end from the truck and strengthening the body mounts by re-welding and rebuilding them (see pic of rear end off truck) and then... rebuilding the rear differential with a bearing ring pinion kit and new 90wt oil. Then Both rear wheel bearings were replaced at that time! This work was done at Glenwood National Transmission and the receipts are visible in the pictures on this page. Cost of the rebuild was over $1900 - The rear end should be good for another 290K!!!! A replacement rear end for this type of T-100 basically costs as much as this truck. Buy it just for the rear end- keep it cuz it kicks ass! Engine is clean and well serviced!! Check out the photo! Comes with tool box. 4wd works great! Gets 20mpg. Never let me down. I'm the 3rd owner. Has a new starter, new valve cover gaskets, and water and timing belt have 45K on them since last change. Not the prettiest truck but one of the toughest ever made and ready to drive another 300K +. Starts up right away like a new truck. Does NOT burn any oil or antifreeze. I put a brand new radiator and radiator hoses last fall. It got a set of 4 brand new tires last winter and they have lots of life left in them. Battery is pushing 4 years but seems solid. I put in a new alternator at that time. It has a class 3 tow hitch and 8 prong electrical connection. I used the truck to tow my 16ft center console sometimes plenty of power for that. It has a bed-liner. The 4wd works perfect in both high and low gear and shifts between 2wd and 4wd with ease. It has ADD so you do not have to stop or get out of the vehicle to switch between drive modes. It got all new control arms about five years ago - included replacing the ball joints. The heat works awesome. I used this truck for a winter in Maine and its well insulated and the heater rocks! It drives smooth and straight. Easy clutch to learn if you've never driven 5 speed -- easy to learn! This is a turn key truck. Drive it to California today! Comes with some spare parts: Driver's side rear brake/turn lens, Blower for heater/AC, amp for stereo, replacement front turn signals and some other small items I pulled from a parts truck. Just had the body fixed and is rust free. The touch-up paint shows poorly in certain lighting. If you care take it to Maaco and get it repainted pretty cheap. The cab mounts are all solid so is the frame. Some surface rust but no major scale or issues. The Bad:What it needs. Brakes are ok but may benefit from new front brakes done in the spring. All four struts are worn and should be done at the same time. It sounds like it will need a new muffler soon. Not too bad now though. Was originally equipped with air conditioning but not currently working. The AC has never worked since I've owned the truck and I was told to replace the compressor. I priced the cost for a new compressor AND condensor AND associated air conditioning hoses, basically a brand new AC system and it was $350 for the parts from Rock Auto. Just didn't get around to doing it. The Ugly:The front two fenders were and remain rust free. The rear two had a little rust as you can see in picture 9-12. I'll add some uploaded pictures to show how they currently look after the body repair. The rear bumper could stand some TLC. The stereo used to play cd's and connect to an iPod but now only runs in FM mode. Easily replaced if you care. The rear bumper has been in contact with a few things. Check the picture. The right rear brake signal lens was broken and repaired - still functional but could be replaced. On the whole:Alot of truck that has always been cared for - without a big price tag. The vehicle is as is where is so ask questions and come test drive before bidding or buying. Delivery available - inquire before purchasing and we'll work out a fair rate, I'll get it to you anywhere you are. I'm moving and have a second vehicle and I'm not paying to ship my truck there, I'm keeping the price low so it's your chance to buy a real good truck at a fair price. Current mileage is roughly 299,200.
