Vehicle Detail

Selling my 1998 Trans Am WS6 in Sport Gold Metallic paint. Only 18 cars were made in Gold with WS6 package and manual trans. I'm the 3rd owner of the car. I'll try to be as thorough as possible, and if anyone has any questions feel free to message me or we can exchange numbers and talk. The car has 122k miles but drives and rides better than a lot of 40k mile FBodies I've owned. The car runs perfectly. I drove it home to the Tx panhandle from St Louis in March. The trans/clutch is flawless, doesn't grind into any gears, clutch holds in every gear, has never been stuck in any gear either. Motor has constant 40psi at hot idle, plenty of power, no abnormal sounds or issues. LS1/T56 is the motor/trans combinationTSP Long Tube Headers/Off Road Y pipe/Factory installed '98 only SOTL (Single on the left) catbackI did remove the EGR and AIR provisions and added an LS6 intake Those above are the only modifications I have done, which were mainly to clean up the engine bay and give it a little more sound and power without it being annoyingly loud. It sounds really nice and crisp, NO rasp at all and is just as quiet as stock when cruising. It would benefit from a tune with the headers and intake added. It does have a Check Engine Light on due to the EGR being removed. My intentions were to have it professionally tuned to eliminate the EGR codes and optimize the performance for the headers and intake. The AC compressor does have a slow leak. Will hold a charge for about 4-6wks. I have a new Compressor, just not installed as I haven't used the AC for a while. The power steering pump has a slight whine. I check the fluid regularly to ensure its not losing fluid, which it is not. Just a little nuance I've noticed while taking ownership. It doesn't leak, operates perfectly, it just has a slight whine that I deemed manageable to live with. Interior is really great shape, seats are perfect and so are door panels, with NO cracks in them. The only interior issue at all, is it has a small 1" dash crack near defroster vents that popped up about a month ago much to my dismay. Other than the crack, it's perfect on the inside. Exterior the paint is in excellent condition for an 18yr old car. When clean it shines like new. There are no paint chips, peeling sections or dents. Sail panel isn't bubbled up, which is another common problem on these cars. There's only one blemish, other than a few rock knicks on the front bumper, and that is a mark by the driver side key hole, which the original owner tried to fill with touch up paint. It's only noticeable from 5 feet or so away. I've had several people inquire about the front bumper looking a shade darker than the car, I have a spotless Carfax I can send to anyone interested. No claims or wrecks noted. To my knowledge the front bumper has never been repainted, and all I can attribute it to is the difference in materials in the front bumper and the body of the cars. Several other bright colored Trans Ams and Camaros have/had the same difference. It's hardly noticeable in person, but the pictures seem to capture the difference more. Tires are BF Goodrich and are fairly new, have plenty of life left. Any questions feel free to message me for more info, I've tried to be as honest as possible in listing any issues, but don't be alarmed by them, the positives outweigh the negatives hand over fist with this car. The small negatives can easily be remedied. The last SGM WS6 Trans Am that I have seen posted sold for $12,000 with comparable mileage. It's a true collector's car. This car is better than several low mileage Trans Ams and Camaros I've owned and wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. I'm only selling the car due to the fact I bought a G8 and the Trans Am is the odd car out now. I have a clean and clear blue Texas title in hand.
