Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 1978 Chevrolet Corvette. This is a fun little car that I would like to keep, but an opportunity to get my very first car back came up so this has to go. I have only had the car about 3 weeks, long enough to put on a couple hundred miles and have it painted and cleaned up. As noted the car was just painted last week, it shines good but a wet sand and buff would really make this car pop. I would give the car's paint an 8/10, there are a few runs and imperfections in the paint but its fresh and some of them may buff out. The t-tops look good and line up as they should. The car shows about 86k miles on the V8 350 that appears to be entirely stock, 4 barrel intake with a stock exhaust. The transmission is a turbo 350 and does appear to have a mild shift kit as the car will chirp the gears and shift aggressively. The car is pretty light so it's quick but certainly not a race car, please keep in mind these are late 70's motors. The car runs well, I put in a new thermostat and fluids, I have new spark plugs that will go with the car. I haven't had the car that awful long to really give an indepth assessment on the motor and transmission but it seems to run and drive as it should with no smoking or knocking at all. The car has new brakes and the interior is in really good shape, the body is in awesome shape and the underside is really clean with no rust issues. Lights all seem to work, as do the wipers. The rims and tires look good and hold air as they should. I like to make sure I am as open and honest when it comes to selling cars so every little thing i can think of that is "bad" i want to list here. Interior: Inside t-top plastic on the driver's side is missing, the driver's seat has a seam that has become unstiched (you don't notice it unless you look for it), I believe the fuse for the gauges need to be swamped as the speedo doesn't work right now. Exterior: Brand new paint that has a few minor imperfections near the spoiler and on the passenger's side door, as with most late 70's vettes the headlights either stay up or down with the switch and don't open and close like they did from the factory Engine/Trans: Should probably have the plugs swapped and could probably use a tune up, I have only had the car a couple weeks and 2.5 of those 3 it was being painted. Slight leak in the PS line I believe The car is available to see/go for a test ride anytime during the auction. I am selling the car as is/where is but can help with loading and such. Please let me know if there are any questions that I can answer. No reserve auction!!!
