1979 VW Super Beetle Convertible. Originally a triple black limited edition in 1979. Great example of a car that has not been restored but that has been maintained and enjoyed over the last 37 years. Ready for you to enjoy for daily use, parades or car shows. I have owned this car for about 5 years and was going to have our daughter drive it during high school but she never did. Now I am selling to help pay for college tuition.I have been to car shows, cruise nights and just drives around town and always get smiles and waves from other drivers.Front disc brakes, urethane front end bushings, dropped struts and recent front end alignment. 165 tires on factory sport wheels. Front end has adjustable struts but are only set about 1 1/2 inches lower then stock.Aluminum running boards that are very sturdy compared to stock.No tears in interior or top. Stayfast canvas top boot cover. Top goes up and down very easy.Dash has a carpet cover with a spot in the middle of the dash to hold accessories. Steering wheel is from a water cooled vw. AM/FM CD with Aux and USB inputs. Speakers mounted in the kick panels.No rust in floorpans or support rails. No rust in the body.Odometer says 3506 but that is over 100,000. Drivers seat has been lowered 2" and works fine in the factory slides.Motor has been changed from fuel injection to single carb. and is out of a 1975 Beetle. Runs great. Unknown mileage. New pushrod tubes and recent oil change, valve adjustment and tune up.Front windshield has a crack on the lower passenger side from when the windshield rubber was replaced.Headliner is a little dirty and there is no carpet in the area behind the back seats.There are a few scratches in the rear decklid and front hood that have been touched up with black paint. I have tried to show them in the pictures but it is difficult with the shiny paint. This car is listed locally on Facebook so I could stop the auction early if it sells.
