Up for your consideration is a 2008 Pontiac Torrent with the 3.4 V6 and 5-speed automatic transmission. The car is in good condition, but overheats in about ten minutes due to a bad fire-ring on one of the head gaskets. It runs smooth, the transmission shifts great, there are no fluids mixing, but there are combustion gases getting into the cooling system, which causes it to overheat in about ten minutes. Included is the full set of Fel-Pro Perma-Dry gaskets to repair it. I was going to do it myself, but I suffer from herniated and bulging disks in my lower back, and I'm saving myself for body prep and paint on my LS1 powered '55 Chevy truck this fall and winter!! I just bought a VW Golf for a winter car instead. There are a few bumps and bruises as seen in pics, and the power door locks quit working a few months ago. The power windows, CD player, heat and A/C all work well, and there are no check engine lights on except when it overheats. With a weekend's worth of work, this would be a nice, reliable and comfortable vehicle. It has newer tires and brakes, including 4 newer rotors, and rides tight and smooth. The battery was also replaced last year. I only drove it about 4000 miles since August 2015, and it's been parked since early September this year. Starts right up and idles perfectly. There is no smoke or steam from the tailpipe, and the engine has normal power, just like before the leak. I was averaging 18.5 mpg in mixed driving before the gasket leak.
