Up for auction is a 1988 Ford Econoline E150 DMC conversion van. The van is based on the E150 XLT clubwagon. It's equipped with the 5.0L (302 cui) sequential fuel injection V8 mated to a 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission (AOD). Furthermore it features the factory towing package option that includes an auxiliary transmission oil cooler, trailer hitch and the dual fuel tank option. The drivetrain is completely stock except for an MSD high output ignition coil. Power windows and cruise control stopped working recently at the same time, I suspect a bad ground (The passenger side window motor is less than a year old). AC needs a recharge. Other than that EVERYTHING is working, Mechanically the vehicle is very sound and well maintained. Front brake pads, exhaust from the catalytic converters back and the steering linkage (tie rods) have been replaced in early 2016. Battery is a newer Duralast unit. Tires are Kumho Road Venture and have about 25% left. It was used a s a daily driver until July 2016. The exterior shows typical rust for a midwestern van of this vintage (please look at the pictures). Chrome and stainless parts are good. All glass is also in good to very good condition condition. Has rear mounted full size spare tire, stainless roof ladder and stainless roof luggage rack. The interior is the highlight, very clean, tasteful and comfortable. It features 4 Captain chairs that swivel and recline and a rear benchseat (that also folds flat and converts into a bed) for 7 passengers total. There are several adjustable spotlights mounted in the headliner and several ambient ropelights in an amber color run the length of the interior. All of them have individual switches and fuses in an overhead console. A newer Sony headunit with remote control and 4 speakers is installed. There is also a Cobra CB radio that is fully functional as well. The van is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
