I have an original triple black 97 cabriolet 6 speed. The motor is as clean as the car is. No leaks, ice cold air. If your looking at the car I going to assume for have a fair amount of knowledge about these cars, you also know that they are the last of the air cool Porsches and their values are quickly increasing. I'll start by saying that I am OCD about my things, especially toys. I have own the car for about 5 years and in that time a clutch and all hardware was replaced. Since I have own the car it has never seen rain and there is No rust anywhere. All surfaces are as they were from the factory. I've wanted to have the front bumper painted to make the car perfect but always felt if I did that someone would think the car might have been in a accident. There are little chips from the debris that has hit the front bumper over time. I would say the interior is perfect no tears no scratches and the driver side bolster shows no wear from getting in and out of the car, The top is perfect. It looks like brand new. The whole car looks new. The car has never been washed since I've had it and due to the short time driven always wipe down and put back in the garage. I love the car but in the 5/6 years I've owned it, I have put 6000 miles on it. It just sits there with a battery Tender on it for life support. I have condition myself to feel there is no place special enough to warrant me to uncover it to drive it to. Anyway.I can send additional pics of motor undercarriage if you like. I have all records from previous owner, who also lived in California. I have no issues with a PPI from any authorize Porsche shop. If they find a problem I will pay for it. Oh the suspension has been upgraded and I have the old struts that will go with the car, from the factory it looked like a 4 wheel drive. The car now sits as it should with good ride height and you can get two to three fingers between the front tire and fender. ( My point is, it has not been slammed) If you have been waiting for a car that has been cared for and not abused. Always warmed up driven super soft until running condition has been achieved and then driven gently, and you like this color combination. Your ship has arrived... Thanks for looking.
