Many Mercedes Enthusiast think this is the most desirable of all the SL models to date. Finished in Smoke Silver with Burgundy leather and a black convertible top this car is extremely eye catching. This car is a two owner Mercedes that was traded to us on a later model SL we sold. The car has had the same owner since 1991. The Mercedes 560sl has a 238 hp V8 engine mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission. There were no options available on the car. Standard equipment included automatic climate control, power windows and locks, a Becker Gran Prix amfm cass stereo system and power antenna. The car came standard with the removable hardtop and a folding convertible top that hides away under a built in toneau cover. VEHICLE CONDITION. This car is in overall below average condition. Mechanically the car is sound. The engine, transmission and drive line operate just as the should with a little rough idle in the engine . The transmission shifts smoothly runs well.. The brakes and suspension operate as they should . The exterior of the car does have several small paint and rust issues that need to be corrected as shown in the pictures . The body is all original sheet metal and according to carfax the vehicle has never been wrecked or damaged. The interior leather is in need of attention.
