My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2001 BMW 740iL with just 122k original miles. Low mileage E38's are getting very, very hard to find. I scooped this one up the second I saw it. I would rate the exterior of this 740iL to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in a medium gray metallic over light gray leather interior, which looks great. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and blemishes commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific BMW, the only with worth mentioning are a few flaws in the paint on the RR door. It's best described as a series of chip/scratches. You can't see them in the photographs, but they are there. That's the only thing worth mentioning specifically. Aside from that, there are a few normal scratches and scrapes that should be expected at this age and mileage. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the trim is present and intact. All of the glasses and lenses are intact, too. Being a 2001 model year, this 740iL has the benefit of not only the facelift in the front with the scalloped headlight lenses but is also has the body color lower trim around the car that was a much needed improvement over even the early facelift cars that had the scalloped lights but kept the black lower trim. The factory alloy wheels are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this 740iL to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. A full set of factory floor mats are included. What's also interesting about this specific BMW is how complete the owner kept it. Everything from the tool kit in the truck to the original foot rests in the rear to the original BMW portable phone (with wall charger and belt clip accessory) are still with the car. The only bad thing I can come up with to say about the interior is that the side shades are missing, which is common as these cars age. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The wood interior accents add a nice, warm feel. The audio / navigation system is ran through the desirable widescreen control panel, which was optional. There are steering wheel audio controls and a trunk mounted CD changer, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. It could be that it's been quite come time since I've had one of these, but it seems as if the blower fan for the climate control should blow faster than it does. I usually just leave these on automatic, and I've never been uncomfortable in this car...but I wanted to make a note of it in case the fan were not performing properly. This BMW 740iL comes with two master keys, one valet key and a full set of manuals. The trunk is spacious and clean. Both original cargo nets come with the car, as does a full sized matching spare. Mechanically, this BMW appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.4L 282hp V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. There were no idiot lights on during my road test. These cars are an absolute pleasure to own and drive if you get one that has been well cared for. The ZF five speed adaptive drive automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. I've personally put about 100 miles on this BMW. If you've been looking for an E38 that hasn't been all used up, this low mileage / late production 740iL should be at the top of your list. She is a fresh NEW CAR TRADE from right here in Central PA and has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of February, 2017. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2001 BMW 740iL with just 122k original miles. Low mileage E38's are getting very, very hard to find. I scooped this one up the second I saw it. I would rate the exterior of this 740iL to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in a medium gray metallic over light gray leather interior, which looks great. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and blemishes commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific BMW, the only with worth mentioning are a few flaws in the paint on the RR door. It's best described as a series of chip/scratches. You can't see them in the photographs, but they are there. That's the only thing worth mentioning specifically. Aside from that, there are a few normal scratches and scrapes that should be expected at this age and mileage. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the trim is present and intact. All of the glasses and lenses are intact, too. Being a 2001 model year, this 740iL has the benefit of not only the facelift in the front with the scalloped headlight lenses but is also has the body color lower trim around the car that was a much needed improvement over even the early facelift cars that had the scalloped lights but kept the black lower trim. The factory alloy wheels are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.
I would also rate the interior of this 740iL to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. A full set of factory floor mats are included. What's also interesting about this specific BMW is how complete the owner kept it. Everything from the tool kit in the truck to the original foot rests in the rear to the original BMW portable phone (with wall charger and belt clip accessory) are still with the car. The only bad thing I can come up with to say about the interior is that the side shades are missing, which is common as these cars age. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The wood interior accents add a nice, warm feel. The audio / navigation system is ran through the desirable widescreen control panel, which was optional. There are steering wheel audio controls and a trunk mounted CD changer, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. It could be that it's been quite come time since I've had one of these, but it seems as if the blower fan for the climate control should blow faster than it does. I usually just leave these on automatic, and I've never been uncomfortable in this car...but I wanted to make a note of it in case the fan were not performing properly. This BMW 740iL comes with two master keys, one valet key and a full set of manuals. The trunk is spacious and clean. Both original cargo nets come with the car, as does a full sized matching spare.
Mechanically, this BMW appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.4L 282hp V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. There were no idiot lights on during my road test. These cars are an absolute pleasure to own and drive if you get one that has been well cared for. The ZF five speed adaptive drive automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. I've personally put about 100 miles on this BMW. If you've been looking for an E38 that hasn't been all used up, this low mileage / late production 740iL should be at the top of your list. She is a fresh NEW CAR TRADE from right here in Central PA and has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of February, 2017. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Winning Bidders:

Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are a PennDOT issuing agent and able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyers, PennDOT offers a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $49 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance. We can issue them at our office.
