Vehicle Detail
barn find 1967 Camaro. Original 327 V8, factory 4 speed, factory tach, console/gauge package, deluxe interior, rear antenna car, all still intact. Butternut yellow/black interior non vinyl top car. M20 4 speed and 10 bolt still with car, (original). car is basically complete, minus motor, and radiator. Original clean title dated 1969. The bad: Front clip: every panel has rust somewhere, somehow. The worst is the core support, which would need replaced. Other panels are repairable, but for the cost...just replace them. They're all solid where it counts...but bolt on replacement panel cost nowadays almost completely out weights the time to fix rusted stuff. its going to need a driver quarter panel. Rust, and damage. Passenger quarter could be Saved. Trunk could be patched in center. Rusted around the lip that holds weather seal. Shock towers are solid. Floors rusty, worst is passenger rear, which needs replaced. The others have some holes as shown in the photos and could probably be patched, though in my experience a 1 piece for is usually worth the extra time. Some holes around front and rear windows. Not terrible. Couple wheel studs are missing. 4 speed has a busted ear, but comes with another dated case for the rebuild. The good:rockers and frames appear very solid. Firewall, roof great. Doors ok. Repairable for sure. glass is all good. Trim is all there and decent. Interior is original and complete. Seats need recovered.. (Have rips and tears.Worst is the upper rear of the back seat. ) The car is very, VERY complete and the cores for all the hard to get expensive stuff are there. The console, gauges, and all the wiring are there, intact and decent. Has early hurst shifter. I'm listing this with a buy it now as it sits, but have a complete Newly rebuilt 350 ready to drop in. I took the bad motor and radiator out because, well they're bad and I was getting ready to drop the other motor in and wanted to survey everything. With some exhaust, a radiator, battery and master cylinder this car could almost be driven. It's really not all THAT bad. the parts of these cars your want to be solid, are...and that makes working around them faster and with better results than cars that need rockers and complete trunks etc. it would look a lot better if I washed it... But I wanted to leave it dirty as found when I got it running to,take it to a couple shows just for laughs. Update: 9/10/16 recently rebuilt complete 327, 300 hp motor has been dropped in and will run from bottle. 4 speed, clutch and rear end have been inspected and adjusted where needed, and fluids changed. Temp exhaust is added, as is new aluminum radiator, hoses and distributor cap, plugs and wires. Starts right up, sounds good from bottle. I installed a new master cylinder and started to bleed the brakes to drive it, but really it's going to take new brake lines to be safe, so I stopped. Other than that, car could be driven. Lights work and gauges work that I can see... But haven't actually had it on the road so... I'm sure there's things to finish hooking up. I'm confident in a weekend with new lines and brakes bled, possibly a new fuel tank this car would drive. Have all receipts from motor build. Have all receipts from parts. I've included photos of the worst areas, and tried my best to describe everything accuratley. The car and I aren't hiding anything, and I'm happy to answer any questions before you bid. please don't bid if you don't intend to purchase. Feel free to text me for info 330.495.3756
