1965 ford Galaxie-500 convertible originally a Las Vegas car it was purchased by a California clothing designer and went thru a complete frame off rotisserie restoration no expense was spared and the entire vehicle was either rebuilt or replaced. The motor is a 428 super cobra jet engine and was rebuilt by renown san Diego builder Bobby Baxter starting with an original 1u crank reground, ross Racing pistons and edelbrock aluminum heads, crower race cam,750 holly carb, completely polished, edelbrock electric fuel pump, hooked up to a rebuilt c6 with race torque converter produces in excess of 475 hp. The car was removed from frame and stripped to bare metal the frame was blasted and coated with a ultra-urethane black coating all hardware and bolts were blasted and either painted or replated in cadmium, the rust-free body was repainted with Sherwin Williams "planet color" with an almost electric turquoise color the underside was painted with a single stage matching color as well, all Chrome, stainless, emblems, lights, etc. was either replaced with NOS or RESTORE parts,, all new wiring and restored orig gauges and switches, new top and motor, 4 wheel wildwood disc conversion, power steering rebuilt, entire brake system redone with new lines, master, and power booster, all new glass around, the removable Hood art was rendered by James Keenan Laguna surf artist and was sublimated to metal and then attached, the entire interior redone in White leather, I'm sure I'm missing stuff but this car has an excess of 60k invested most likely more, borrowing from all California car cultures this car embodies what a Cali restored should be.
