1961 Corvette. Car was in storage and fire collapsed material onto car, the fire did not originate from the car. Car was restored both body and mechanically to show condition prior to damage shown, so most of work needed is cosmetic, not mechanical. Tires are new, still have nubs on them. True mileage unknown. Chrome appears to be all show quality. Original 2x4 BBL. 4 speed, power windows. I believe it was originally Fawn Beige in color. I chose not to primer anything so you can actually see car's condition. Now has crate engine with few miles. Starts, runs, great. Brakes work. Sounds great, drivable, but should be trailered or flat bedded. Convertible top frame is good, soft top should be replaced, but usable as it is. The dash sustained the brunt of the damage, I have replacement pieces to use for repair. Needs windshield glass. Will need main wiring harness at the least. The car has a CLEAR title. I have the original engine block with numbers that match vin number. The engine block had a crack and shows repair that was done by a machine shop and needs cosmetic finish work, but it is the original block. I have included numbers on the block that were verified with reference to the NCRS Corvette Spec guide. (See photo). The numbers translate that it is, in fact, a 270HP, 2x4BC/Hi-lift cam/manual transmission from the factory. The vin number stamped on the block matches the title and tag on the steering column. I have accumulated most of the parts that were damaged to finish the car, many of which were quite expensive. You will see most of them in the photos: kick panels, door panels, package tray support, trunk emblem, side view mirror, rear view mirror, ashtray, carpets, package tray and trim, nice instrument cluster and gauges, speedometer and tachometer cables, seat frames and working seat tracks, seat covers, steering wheel with hub, horn button, center fiberglass console for radio and clock, glove box, armrests, sun visors, wonderbar radio, speaker, speaker screen, speaker bezel, owners manual, emergency brake and hood release assembly, lower steering column cover, crankshaft, pistons, lifters, etc., cam shaft, pedal covers, upper dash fiberglass, front of windshield fiberglass, upper console trim, lower console trim, seat belts, directional signal housing, directional signal lever, wiper arms and blades, chrome wiper bezels, small door access plate, distributor cover, head light switch, lighter socket, glove box door, glove box door stainless, shifter console, shifter boot, 4 speed indicator plate, courtesy light housing, misc. attaching screws, dash insert, grab bar, etc. The trans is a T-10 4 speed. I have fiberglass pieces that should be replaced. Please judge condition according to photos. As you can see, car needs work so sold as-is where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. I do not want to disappoint or mislead anyone. The car needs work. It is not nor was not NCRS show condition, just nice condition. The fiberglass has separated on top of the doors, fenders, and deck lid, they will need work. Please keep these things in mind PRIOR to bidding.
